  1. Wild Heenan and Dressler don't seem that far fetched lol. Not serious about Dressler but wouldn't surprise me one bit
  2. Watson is 31 or going to be. Has injury issues. Love him when healthy but couldn't stay healthy. 4 picks in top 20. 3 in top 15 plus lots of salary opened up. Solid move really. Thinking Demski or Durant at 2 is very possible now
  3. Pav was awful but the entire team was for 2 periods too (1st and 3rd). They were darn near dominated in those periods by a team playing without it's 2 best players and best goaltender.
  4. Stewart would look nice next to Kane and Lowry, Stafford might also. Tough to say with those guys how good they would be since they are playing on a bad buffalo team. I'm not sure what it would take to get Stewart or even Stafford but i believe the rumor going around last year (we apparently tried to get stafford) was Buffalo wanted Burmistrov plus a pick. (believe it was a 1st) I don't see that still being the same value but.. maybe Burmi plus Postma for Stewart or Stafford gets you one of them. Think that's a fair price too. Not sure there is room for Burmi next season here and don't see Postma being as good as some other people thinks he will be. I think if it takes Burmi plus Postma, they do it. Can think what we want about Postma, it's irrelevant, all that matters is what the Jets Chevy and Maurice think of him and him being healthy scratched the last several games (might be more than 10 ) suggests they aren't as high on him as some fans are.
  5. No Donny O, signed a new deal with the ESKS so can scratch his name off the list.
  6. Whole team sucks vs the pens. They just dominated us tho for the most part
  7. Only 22 shots for and only like 4 in the first. Whole team was still on vacation and so were the refs
  8. Lewis is done. No interest
  9. Screw right wingers. Jets need to buy a ref. No power plays? Whole team looked flat not just pav.a pens team minus Crosby and Malkin dominated us
  10. Ottawa will probably overpay a receiver or 2
  11. 19-15 hutch
  12. Not needed and carries a hefty contract. 4th liner at best. 2.5 million
  13. Not needed and carries a hefty contract. 4th liner at best. 2.5 million
  14. And the Kings have a rich owner too. This isn't about Chipman and Thompson. It's about a bad contract
  15. Trading for a guy and him signing an extension and then sucking in training camp not winning a job is a bit different than what happened here. BANKS was cut cuz he didn't want to be a backup actually. Banks actually asked for a release did he not?
  16. Kassian has been like Postma tho. Healthy scratched lots. Apparently coaches aren't a fan of Kassians in Vancouver. Vermette again not worth it for a rental. Dude apparently wants 5 million plus a year this off season. He won't get that here. Don't think the jets would give up what it would take to get him. Anyone who thinks Vermette is the difference between winning and losing is crazy. Rental = give up nothing really. 3rd Rd pick? Maybe but guaranteed some team will give up too much for him. He's a rental if there ever was.
  17. Just to keep up with the times. Highly doubt they want an all star game. Why would they. Draft makes sense tho since we are owed one
  18. Kings did try to trade him several times but that contract is so bad the only thing it sounds like other teams were willing to give up was their bad contracts. Think Clarkson for Richards type things. Why would LA do that. Why not buy him out? It's a valid question. Kings have a very rich owner for sure
  19. When was the last time wally signed a guy only to trade him a few weeks later and umm comparing Taman to Buono is laughable and totally ridiculous. Only a rider Homer would do that.
  20. It will be cold for sure or it could be -2 like right now or plus 4 like it was Friday. Really don't know what to expect but ya regardless of December or February it will be chilly to sit outside for 3 or 4 hours and very expensive. Honestly not being a season tix holder I'd probably just watch on TV. I don't see all the fuss about an outdoor game and I don't even mind the cold. I just am not sure how good the sight lines would be. I dunno. These games to me have been over done. Plus sounds like the local teams get screwed over profit wise. Not sure why jets would want one even
  21. Pass. Too much money for too long really plus no real need for him. If this was 5 years ago Mike Richards? In a second but it's not even close. Is it the Kenora thing? Cuz I don't see the appeal in taking on that contract
  22. Yeah its much warmer in February Actually. Historically speaking. It's more similar than people realize. December on avg = -9 high. February = -12 high. Not a huge difference
  23. I don't get how anyone could possibly believe what that slimeball Bettman says actually.
  24. Seems someone is missing the part where it said all 3 agreed on the February date until 2 weeks ago when the NHL said no. So really a deal was in place but NHL changed their mind last minute really. Is it ok for NHL to pull out last minute but it's not ok for bombers to say no to December? NHL is at fault really cuz all 3 agreed to February up until 2 weeks ago when NHL said it doesn't work for them. Get this they wanted December out of your head cuz they all agreed on February but then at the last minute NHL said no. December didn't work for bombers. January didn't work for true north. February worked for all 3 until 2 weeks ago when NHL decided it didn't work. Why blaming the bombers exactly? I don't really get that at all. It's obviously the NHL who pulled out last minute. Why? Probably because they didn't want it to interfere with the American one which in the NHL mind is more important obviously. Simple solution really. Colo in December. Wpg in February. But nope
  25. Wouldn't give up much for Vermette, plus he's a Center, not exactly a huge need for us at the moment. I think some team is willing to give up more for him, i wouldn't give up anything of real value at all because if i truly wanted Vermette that bad, I'd just wait until the off season when is a free agent and get him for "free". I see no interest in Vermette from the Jets Perspective. Kassian actually does make sense, young guy, big strong fast, needs a change of scenery, has a contract past this season, that pays him less than 2 million per year at that. He's the type of guy the Jets would target i'd imagine. Young guy on a cheap contract. They are apparently looking for a 3rd line right winger, That's what Kassian is. He fits the profile to a tee pretty much.
