Tyrone Jones may be our best rushing LB of all time. Doesn't he hold the Grey Cup record for sacks in one game (maybe Tait mentioned that, can't remember). Part of a 3-4 set, I know. A friend of mine saw Jones in an airplane once and said the guys thighs were so massive that he could barely fit into the seat.

Pretty hard to eliminate all head hits, since there are times the ball carrier turns into the defender at the last instant. Anyways , I am in favour of adding one more challenge per team. If you lose it, you lose a time out. Bring the "reserve" guys onto the game day roster...they are getting paid anyways, might as well play 'em.

Milt's TD record will never be broken. The guy was money when it counted, and considering all the forgettable QB's he played with, it makes his accomplishments all that more special. Rod Hill was also special. He was so good that when Les Browne (all time CFL INT leader) was on the other corner QB's would prefer to throw to Browne's side instead of Hill's. Now if we could get our defense even remotely close to those great 80's/early 90's defenses we become Cup favorites.

When do we fire Ritchie Hall? Not this year (unless we start 0-8). A lot of guys on here on poo-pooing the Collaros signing but me thinks the Bombers better step it up on defense this year as Saskatchewan, Calgary, and Edmonton could potentially all be vying for top spot in the west. Bottom line-we need to get better as the west is going to get even tougher.

Based on what he has shown thus far in his limited playing time I think Franklin is going to be way better than Adams...but we shall see

So an unnamed source (supposedly from Alberta) was quoted on 620 radio Regina today saying that "If the Riders sign Zach Collaros they are going to run the table on the rest of the league" - meaning, I guess, that they would go 18-0. Now I have heard ridiculous delusional things from Rider fans and from Rider media but this one might take the cake. Weirdest part is the guy supposedly is not a Rider fan - although I think he must have recently drank some Regina water or something.

Zach Collaros (sp?) still a wild card out there. If I was Sask or Montreal I would go after the guy...although unless Montreal improves their personel around him it would be another Hamilton scenario. Just saying that Sask may not be finished their QB caroseell.

I doubt another start up league would ever work...at least not for any significant amount of time unless it's on a much smaller scale. The NFL is hurting though...lots of people turned off by anthem protests (Roger Godell needed to do something earlier). In some stadiums you can get some very cheap tickets.

I mistakedly thought the early start to the schedule was due to the whole season being moved up...looks like it's moved up only because of the 3rd bye week. Not sure I like a 3rd bye week...hope it actually does something for player safety

Doesn't the Stanley Cup usually end in early June (way too late IMO)? They could still start the regular season, say, in the 2nd week of June and not conflict, right? Open camp in early May.

Grey Cup was on November 19th in 2006. That's not early. I would like to see them start at least 2 weeks earlier to start with.

Maybe we can get permission to talk to Mark Nelson now that he is no longer DC.
