Not that hard to figure out why we are talking about Matthews. First, this is a fan website where we talk about what we want, not necessarily about what will happen. Secondly, Matthews has played for us, was released early, AND is presently a free agent. Third, Larry Fitzgerald was a star receiver in the NFL, Matthews was not. I'm not saying Matthews will come back here but if I was our G.M. I would be at least calling his agent...if he doesn't get any offers by spring...you never know

I know we released Matthews (a few years ago) a little early so he could pursue the NFL so he may consider us first if he feels his NFL dream is over. He is 28 so a few good years left in his body

I would droll over the possibility of having Chris Matthews, Dressler and Adams on the field at the same time. Needless to say our offense would be that much better in 2018...one can fantasize, can't one?!

I think Medlock is still the leagues best kicker (we have him kick a lot of long ones), but maybe we could save some of that coin for - oh I don't know, maybe a stud MLB

I don't think our tackles are the problem. We have had 3 or more highly touted tackles come in here and have less than stellar years. Me thinks it's our defensive system.

I think you offer Medlock and Dressler new deals, but at slightly less $. Dresser is getting hurt a lot and Medlock, while really solid, is an American playing a typical Canadian position. If Medlock walks I believe we still have that draft pick kid who showed well in camp and will be done school now.

I know it's a Captain Obvious statement but we need to finish 1st in the west next year so that we have one less game to win to get to the big game. I think if we shore up our defense this is a realistic goal. Our offense, with Nicholls and Harris, will be strong for a few more years.
