Richardson signing doomed to be a colossal failure? Fingers crossed! -
Who has the better team: Calgary or Winnipeg?
mbrg replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I started pumping the tires of Davis back in training camp 2015, and I have some amount of confidence that he can come in and do good things for us if the situation called for it. He has the tools and he's been working in this system for three years. But to take a sample size that is close to zero and make claims about where he stacks up against others in the league, that's just a fool's errand. -

Dirigible science?

Or written a slightly different way, hope that the refs allow 50-50 balls to be played like they are 50-50 balls, rather than letting their receiver mug our DB and/or allow our DB to fight for a chance to pick the ball.

That, plus putting him on a line with Armia and Lowry does not feel like a good fit to me. I liked Mattias there last year because the three of them were playing the same game. Connor can't play that game, and Lowry and to some extent Armia would struggle to play a style that compliments Connor. A bit of patience from Jets fans and we'll get to see Connor and Roslovic brought up together. Those two are meant for each other.
-
I don't believe he is under contract for next year.

So areas around Duron Carter smell of feces? About what I'd expect.
-
Fans are gonna ***** about something. Gotta mix it up once in a while. Just to mess with everyone, Jets and Bombers should swap Hendricks and Enstrom for Lankford and Hurl. Whipping boy exchange program.
-
The question that always goes through my head is do these idiots yell "BLUE" at Jets games? And of course, the answer is no, because it's a completely unrelated sporting event.
-
Lowry has gotten better every season with the Jets. When Mattias and Armia found their chemistry with him that was a hard line to play against. They kept the puck down low and punished defencemen against the boards. If Armia can turn into the finisher I think he might be that is a legit NHL 3rd line.

My hope: The Riders lose out the season and Chris Jones spends the rest of his life working at the DMV. -
Stamps vs Hillbillies.. Who you pulling for?
mbrg replied to Nolby's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
And going forward, just to be clear, I will always be pulling for the team that doesn't fake injuries. Every time. So this question does not need to be asked again in the following weeks. Screw them. -

Bombers only need Calgary to lose to one other team before the last week of the season. That loss doesn't need to happen this week. Go Stamps. -
As much as I liked Marvin Coleman, retiring his jersey seems a bit much.

Send half of that back home to the family in the states, they'd get just under $6000 USD in return for having their son/husband/father/nightmanageratarby's gone for 6 months.

"Hey coach, can I have a word? First, thanks for giving me this great opportunity with the Bombers. I'm loving my team, loving the fans, loving the city. It wasn't that long ago I didn't know where Winnipeg was. This is an incredible experience. Now I just want to be honest with you, I'm getting concerned about my role with the team. I know I have to work my way up the totem, that's the way it is for everyone, but I also know the window of opportunity for most guys is small. Maybe a few years at most. I had hoped I'd shown enough during the games I played to not have to go back to the practise roster. To spend six months away from home for not much money isn't what any of us want, but we do it to get that shot at a real job. And I hope we can agree that I stepped up. I guess what I'm asking is if there is a possibility you could put me on the 1 game IR for a bit so I can get some game cheques? I feel like I've proven my value here. I want to be a team guy, but I also want to look after my family. Anyways, thanks for giving me some of your time. If you want to think about it for a while, I'm cool with that."

I agree with both these statements. Bottom line is he handled this the wrong way. Poorly.

It could be argued the sky is green and water is dry. Also known as Tburging.

And on that note, do the people who still insist on yelling "true north" during the anthem have any idea that they're not at a hockey game?

We aim to please. My favourite part was when Pruneau made a special teams tackle after his sideline freak-out and started waving his arms at us in mock celebration. Dude, your team has two points. Two.
-
I'm not sure why that is ruled a pick. It was a fumble. The ball came out before his hand went forward. If it hits the ground they would rule the ball live, not dead as an incompletion. So it's a fumble, not an interception. Weird play though. Kinda like Jones blocking the punt before it was kicked.
