Unfortunately, we are never going to be healthy in week 20. Our depth is going to be tested every single year, and you have to be able to put wins together anyway.
-
You're assuming we would play with this system if we had a player like Solly, which I think is a pretty big leap.
-
Ray is not retiring. Completely media created.
-
I’m pretty sure *most* people knew you were being tongue-in-cheek. Matthews’s isn’t out of the realm of possibility though. He’s a free agent and might be out of chances down south.
-
So you are expecting B.C. to release Jennings?
-
Medlock goes to the highest bidder. If Sinopoli moved east for other reasons, it’s not the same thing.
-
Again, we started him because we didn’t have an Import LB step up. JSK worked his way into the roster at WIL.

I don’t believe they intended on him starting this past year, they simply couldn’t find a replacement and the ratio factors allowed us to play an extra import on the DL so it just kind of happened. this is a recruitment issue, IMO. Not a coaching one.

Nichols had a better season than Ray or Mitchell. You can’t compare their careers, but he just behind Reilly is his performance this season.

I have blue goggles on like everyone else. I just don’t understand how you can ignore how lucky we were with injuries this year. Maas competed for large portions of the season with an entirely different team. And Jones, love him or hate him (and I hate him), but I expected them to win 3 games this year. I have no idea what smoke and mirrors they keep using to win games, but he’s doing something right. Trestman and MOS, I think, are kind of in that 4th slot behind Dickenson, Maas, and Jones. Just my opinion. Not sure why you seem to be insinuating I’m a fan of another team because I don’t think our coach isn’t the coach of the year.
-
What is it that you disagree with? I personally thought he summed it up fairly well. I realize we’ve had a good season. And for that we got second place and a home play off game. But coach of the year is about the best. MOS didn’t finish with the best record, or take over a bad team (from last season), or deal with a bunch of crappy off the field circumstances or injuries. There were a lot of good coaching performances this year, of which MOS was one. He’s honestly not in my top 3 though.

Reilly and the Eskimos warrent the MOP. They were crushing everyone before finally succumbing to their massive injuries for that skid in the middle of the season, but are now back to dominating. Reilly has had a phenomenal season.

Roberts was one of the best RBs in league history. I don’t even consider these two on the same playing field.
-
I’m pretty sure it’s porter and foketi getting scratched.
-
Then why did the coach tell the media Westerman was fine and an hour later Tait releases this article with quotes from the player (that the media was told they couldn't talk to )?
-
Wiecek is an idiot. Full stop. but if this was happening with something that mattered, as opposed to coverage of a sports team, the elimination of a free press is a pretty serious issue. the team is shutting down access to the media and telling their own stories. We're ok with it because we all love Ed Tait, but I can see why independent journalists (people other than wiecek) would be concerned about this. taken in another context, this is what got Trump elected. He and his team would spew a boatload of garbage that scared people into voting for him because access to legitimate news/reporting is so buried by the "fake news" outlets.

They only measured the levels at certain times (kick off, opposing drives in each quarter, etc). So even though we reached 107 when Harris was being introduced and 108 on the Leggett INT, it couldn't count. I am sure the Riders got louder than 104 on some of their big plays as well, but in order to make this "fair", they recorded the measurements at similar points in each game. And using those parameters, we came out ahead.

Also, we are the only undefeated team at NMS.

Also, that was more than a decade ago. Perhaps it's time to move on...?

Taylor was saying that all last year too.

Around the League - Regular Season Discussion (Redux)
Jesse replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I absolutely agree. -
Any memory of it? I was three and have no recollection.
-
Obviously not. It would have been a romp. I'd have actually seen a Grey Cup in my life, and I wouldn't have the blood pressure of a 60-year old man during the football season, despite being only 30.

Don't forget his lost fumble. He gave the ball away 5 times.
