  1. I'm sure they did that with Leggett, either last season or the season before. Different voters had him at three different positions.
  2. Right!?!?!? And that is just the month of August. #norespect
  3. Agreed, but in the last few weeks he's been nailing the sexy stats. 1 FR for a TD, 3 INTs, 1 sack
  4. They don't watch the games, they're simply going by reputations and the cfl stats page. Like every analysis they do.
  5. It's only his second season as DC. He is just another cog in the Dynasty of Hufnagel's Stampeders.
  6. He wouldn'tbe considered for the actual award, but he still may get the team nod.
  7. I don't think age is taken into consideration. If anything, I'd say Cory Johnson is more in the running,
  8. It's a tradition. There's no advantage to it. Especially since we have the Banjo Bowl on the Saturday now. Leave it the way it is.
  9. I agree with this completely. Matt Nichols and co. have benn dynamite for us because we spread the ball around and make good decisions. Reilly and the Esks crew have a completely different dynamic. Reilly chucks up the ball and depends on receivers to be ridiculous. If Nichols starts playing that game, I think we see the difference between our 7-0 run last year and our 3-3 finish.
  10. It's a long season, but if Harris goes 1000/1000, he's the league MOP, not just on our team.
  11. I am still upset we didn't get pacman in for a half season. That would have been a cherry on the **** sundae that was 2009.
  12. Adams was a remnant from the previous regime. They wanted draft picks and are high on their own QB recruits.
  13. Statistically, all of the QBs are so similar. MOP/ All Star nods will probably come down to team success.
  14. Well played sir, well played. To your other point though, exactly right. This is the kind of thing that tells me the league's broadcasters and pundits don't actually watch the games. They see the games they cover while they're sitting up in the press box with their buddies, and then go by the stats page for their "analysis".
  15. I'm going to do the unobvious guys (Matt and Andrew go without saying) 1. Randle: In the post-game show, Walby and Westwood said they could not give Randle their "defensive player of the game" award because no one throws his way. Well guess what dinguses, that means the CB is performing exactly the way he should. Randle never gets his due, but in the past three games has a FR for a TD, a sack, and an INT. All-Star who will never be recognized for it league wide. 2. Thorpe: Really comes on strong late in games for first downs and, like everyone else last night, was piling on the YAC. 3. Paul LaPolice: The guy has been crapped on around here and TEP for a long time. Even people going so far as to question the offence will Khari and Milt. But the guy is creative, matches perfectly with Matty and Andrew and co. and is having a steller season. I've been putting some thought into it, and it's possible we may not see any HC changes this off season, so maybe we even get to keep Paul around. HH: Flanders: I feel guilty for even thinking it, but I've often wondered what could be if we didn't have Andrew Harris at RB. Now, I don't need to wonder because we're getting the best of both. Fladers' contract has to be up at the end of this season, but I wonder if there's any way this two-back system can be carried forward, and if it could continue to be this successful.
  16. Agreed. Very enlightening.
  17. Wow! Thats awesome. Way to fan boy for the win.
  18. CFL has no way for me to look at play off stats, but I'm sure Stegall performed plenty well in the play offs over the years. And again, he performed consistently over a long career. Matt is in his first year as a starter.
  19. That's one game. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Nichols supporter. And I have full faith in him to be successful in the play offs again, but given the qualifying question of, "Is Matt Nichols elite?" We need to see him do it multiple times in the play offs to say yes. Matt can do all he wants during the season, but as we saw with Calgary last year, it means nothing until you can bring home a championship. I believe Matt can do it. But it's not a question he can fully answer right now. It will take a few seasons of consistency.
  20. Play off games.
  21. We scored three TDs. Two through the air and one by Flanders to close out the game. It's hardly the days of getting one TD every other game. Remember Buck Pierce's best season of his Bomber career in 2011? He scored 14 TDs. Matt's already at 13.
  22. Whoa whoa Whoa. I also like the Buck comparison for the "grit" factor, but Nichols ain't in the same league as Buck as far as his rushing abilities. Buck was an actual runner. Matt just picks his spots.
  23. He paid more than they could sustain, had a kick *** receiving core, won a grey cup. We all knew the contracts would catch up with them. On the other side of the field, people can say Edmonton is winning through smoke and mirrors all they like, but the Eskies keep winning.
  24. I used the disagree emoji. Because I disagree.
  25. Collaros was never anything more than potential. He could never stay on the field when he was good, and know that he's on the field he's no longer performing. Not even in the conversation in my mind.
