  1. Just like Harris before him, I imagine the Bombers are hoping he'll gracefully retire so no awkward convos need to be had.
  2. If you're assuming there's no dialogue and MOS is just running things like a madman with zero input from the coaches and management around him.
  3. Maybe Biggie is getting paid more than I think he is, but I doubt it. You give Cole (or someone) a bump to take the starting job and what are you saving? Not enough to triple Schoen's salary. And that's besides the point of, is it a smart idea to invest 600k into two receivers?
  4. The only thing I really wanted this year was some depth and competition along the DL. I'd be bringing in lots of bodies. Haba would have never seen the bench, but even he was brought in last minute. There was just a dearth of competition this year. I don't know if we'll be able to re-sign Schoen, so receiver would be another big target. But that was really a last year thing to prepare for this coming year. The "big change" I would make is to move on from Bighill. I don't think I have the guts to move on from Collaros but I can 100% get the urge to. We were without a QB for decades and the only hope he ever had was the back-up; because the starter could never do the job. That seeps into people. I agree, but unless you got the next Ricky Ray hiding somewhere, it is what it is.
  5. I agree. Just articulating that the cap is still there and Walters wants his raise so it is a factor.
  6. I agree with all of that. Biggie and Schoen should have been riding the pine, 100%. Our offence still should have been able to win us this game. There were no excuses or roster management issues on that side, they just didn't perform.
  7. It is because MOS just got his big raise and now everyone else also wants their raise. Obviously not everyone can.
  8. No, the O was not good enough, at all.
  9. Meh. I agree with the point you were trying to make. I don't care if Jackson or Bennett or Thomas [or whoever some people would replace them with] don't affect the outcome of the game. I care that Zach and Brady and Lawler and the OL and the Jeff's didn't make the plays that carried us to the win.
  10. Even if he was going to, you wouldn't hear it in a press conference.
  11. That's a hindsight call. Lawler was open and the defensive play was spectacular. You don't throw short when got open guy in the endzone. But the D is paid to make plays too.
  12. They would have helped Zach get the ball away and sustain drives? Would have stopped Buck from running Demski up the middle 3+ times for no gain? Would keep Prukop on the bench on 2nd and short when the should be running their god damn offence? I just....I just don't see this the same way some of you do.
  13. The thing is, did you openly advocate for Zach to be benched all year long? The marine didn't kill us tonight. It was our inability to score and sustain drives. Zach's post-season malaise and some questionable decisions by Buck. Would using a NI Fullback and benching Bighill have helped with that?
  14. He could go to most teams "as the back-up", and be the starter in short order.
  15. I thought the two endzone balls were perfect - the DB in both cases needed to make the perfect play/recovery to stop it and unfortunately for us, they did. But the receivers were in good position and Zach put the ball where it needed to be. anything more would've been an over throw.
  16. I think it's hilarious you want to move on from Hall and Zach when Buck shares a lot of the blame. I bet it will.
  17. He was the best QB in the league.
  18. This is an offensive game plan fail. And, IMO, was the biggest factor of the last two Cup losses.
  19. For sure, it's just not n=1 like some people like to think. Yes, a rotation likely keeps our best players fresh for those moments, but still doesn't guarantee anything. Especially if the guys rotating in make mistakes while they're in there. IMO, the bigger issue is our starters (Zach and the offence), not doing their jobs for 50%of the time than back-ups not being able to come in 10% of the time.
  20. Anything we do is something that Walters has talked about for several years, you move on from guys a few at a time so you DONT have to make big wholesale changes in any given year. I have always agreed that we need some depth along the DL to keep everyone fresh - but that's not a change in anyone. Bighill could retire with no worries - but there's no one else on D aging out. Everyone has an opinion on Zach tonight, but again, no one is really aging out. What MAJOR changes is anyone even talking about other that rage posting?
  21. That's true. But in all of our loses, our O spent a lot of time unable to move the ball. I have never once walked away from a game feeling that our D was a reason we lost.
  22. I disagree vehemently. Yup. You just may be called out on it.
  23. Honestly. We make one stop and that was the game. We didn't. And it should not have gotten to that point. But - it's the Grey Cup - you don't get the trophy before the game is played. We put ourselves in position to win in each of the last two years, but lost in coin flip fashion. It does suck, but I'd rather be in this position than sitting in the place of the other 7 teams.
  24. Sure - but the post I responded to also advocated for the removal of the whole coaching staff. People are getting idiotic tonight.
  25. But why is Collaros so shallow in the pocket? If he needs to let a play develop, why is he taking a short drop and getting backed into by his guards? The roster usage is overblown. It affected us today because we were playing injured players (hugely dumb move), but in general hasn't killed us this year (though easily could - I am on the roster mismanagement side).
