  1. He’s gonna get 2 years in here so he can sign a deal with guarantees next time around.
  2. That was also before the Dunbar signing. For those that didn't click the link, Dunbar is receiving 200k and up each year.
  3. If Montreal was allowed to spend that kind of cash, they wouldn't have lost half their team.
  4. It's between us and the Saskatchewan Overpay's.
  5. True, but most of those weren't winning seasons. I will say that most of the bloating receiving contracts we've seen crash and burn recently have been a receiver leaving a successful situation for the big pay day and not delivering. Do we honestly think that Collaros and Lawler wouldn't do special things if they were back together?
  6. That's why it says "agree to terms" and not "signed".
  7. Oh, obviously that's out of the question. I said earlier that the most I see anyone offering him is in the 275 range, so like Mike said, try to get him for 250.
  8. Intention, I believe. But obviously Lawler has a certain expectation when it comes to salary so I just don't completely buy that it was a "done deal". I am incredibly excited at the thought of another 3 year deal though.
  9. Getting Trevor Harris is way beyond what I expected for them this off season - so that's a win. Trying to blow your wad on a receiver is the exact dumb move they did last year, but you may have needed to do that to get Harris on board. Any meaningful success still needs to come from a re-investment in the OL, which will take years of solid drafts and a couple of FA wins. It's the CFL, they can do it - I still don't that O'Day has the ability to, though.
  10. Of course he's asking for it....doesn't matter if no one offers it. I don't think it's realistic to expect that anyone offers him a raise from last year. It didn't work. I think the best he can reasonable expect is 275 from some desperate team. Can we get close enough to that to make it worth it for him?
  11. Asking for 1 million over three years....yikes, lol. But god damn do I want him on a three year deal.
  12. That's the problem. They're doing the exact same thing that didn't work last year.
  13. Pickett is one guy I was looking at, but you're right, Darby eliminates that need.
  14. Apparently that's what was said, though I'd say it's an extremely low chance he ends up in another league at this point of his career. Unless he's got an XFL team in his home city that'll pay him big bucks.
  15. Keep in mind he's been there before. They know who he is. If they look on tape and see the same guy, why bring him back?
  16. Lol, no one is getting conditioned or "stretching their motor" by playing games. All that happens in the off season.
  17. He had his season ending injury - and then I think I remember him suffering a set back.
  18. For sure, I'm just looking ahead to 2025 when we'll probably want to stack the roster.
  19. It is exactly the limit of what I wanted to pay - though it sounds like it'll get higher in each year.
  20. For my money, the way to work around a bad OL is a quick release guy, not a mobile guy. We did our share of that when we were crap too. The lines are not a bad place to spend money.
