1. I 100% believe it exists, but maybe Walters expects it to bump up a bit?
2. **Shrugs** The operations cap is the reason we can keep these guys together. It's not like anyone else can offer significantly more.
3. Don’t love the optics of firing a black coach for a perceived “lack of discipline” and then only interviewing the white staff of that same undisciplined team while adding on the least disciplined coach in recent memory.
4. If it's next season, Lapo seems like the most likely candidate (as much consternation as that may cause around here). But Kevin Bourgoin seems to be following the Buck path of moving through our offensive coaching ranks.
5. I thought about that too. As repugnant as it sounds, if the Riders clear the decks and hire a competent GM that Buck respects, he’d have the opportunity to do what KW and MOS did here. The only succession plan I can see in Winnipeg is Jordan Younger taking over once Richie decides to hang them up.
6. https://twitter.com/MoEgger/status/1600881498000859137?s=20&t=gjFFjZoL-GPfWP2B4Ow9Ag

O'Shea's 20 wins away from passing Bud Grant as the franchise's all-time winningest coach:

Grant: 102
Cal Murphy: 86
O'Shea: 82

A record he'll certainly have the opportunity to break before this new contract is up.
— Skylar Peters (@SkylarAPeters) December 8, 2022
(Imagine a tweet that shows MOS as 20 wins behind Bud Grant's record) 20 wins away...
7. He 100% does not fit on our team. I think he’d be perfect behind Mitchell, Harris, MBT or maybe even with Masoli (who seems to do better with an occasional assist).
8. CoFaj just needs to accept his role as a Prukop/Streveler type of player and play behind an immobile QB such as Mitchell or Harris and play within a designed package. He would be very effective playing with Mitchell, who needs a partner to help keep his reps down and shoulder healthy over a full season.
9. Not just the waggle. All of his big plays came off of broken plays where he found open field and Collaros found him. He might not have tape of him beating coverage with speed or route running.
10. Walters made a comment during his interview about needing to move on from 1-2 older guys per year to avoid having to replace more all at once. The article is just extending that thought. It’s not a terrible premise. When I read it, it never once occurred to me that Hodge was suggesting the Bombers move on from Bryant. It’s not a big leap to wonder about the intentions of a 37 year old football player.
11. Well, you said he needs to "smoke more crack" and that it was "a really bad reach" - the only thing that would be a reach is if Hodge said the Bombers should move on. Hodge clearly states that the prospect of losing Stanley would be his decision, not the Bombers: "Bryant is the oldest of the bunch as he will turn 37 by the time next season rolls around. I spoke with him during Grey Cup week and he described his future as a “year-to-year thing” that depends on his mind, body, and family situation"
12. He just brought him up as one of a handful of aging vets who haven't been signed yet. Certainly never suggested the Bombers should move on from him.
13. Or has Speedflex been Dave Ritchie the entire time ?!?!?!? If we're starting down that road, Collaros' play-off performances haven't been spectacular either.
14. It is obviously a money decision, but we have to stay under the salary cap. Hard choices, man.
15. Unfortunately, we don’t have the option of sign all stars at every position.
16. I'd also be open to bringing in a Global to compete at one of the positions. Taking something off Legg's plate might help him out.
17. Coaching staff looks solid. Now it comes down to the QB...
18. off season, baby.
19. Except that the GM is also a lame duck, so the new GM will start from scratch next year anyway. With no QB, and a shitty OL, the only OC they're going to get is a new candidate like their RB coach who has nothing to lose.
20. Such a dumb decision to retain them.
21. I think Rose has a better season next year. Our DBs are going to be lights out, regardless. Need to figure out DL and LB pieces though.
