  1. Our better play-off performances have been on the back of our running game - our struggles have come when we've gotten too cute in the passing game and thrown INTs.
  2. After his second consecutive Grey Cup appearance in his second year as OC? Don't think it had much of an impact.
  3. You're expecting perfection from Legs when the rest of the team wasn't even average. You take away either of our two interceptions or the Chad Kelly run or we grind Brady more in the 4th quarter and we win by taking a knee.
  4. I'm surprised you care, you've been saying the same things about Evans all year. But yeah, Ballsy is a hack. He's finding a scapegoat so he can praise the team and make a case for them making the play-offs next year - but everything he says is ludicrous.
  5. Exactly what Rod used to do - just inflammatory stuff to satisfy the Riders and rile up everyone else. Only difference is that Rod is apparently a nice guy in real like whereas Ballsy is still a tool.
  6. Yeah, I thought he was going to have a huge year and was really upset when he went down. Him and Jeffcoat are certainly going to be tough guys to negotiate with.
  7. I'm not avoiding the question, I just don't know if it's reality. If he leaves for the NFL, can the Lions retain his rights or is he automatically released?
  8. If he's in the NFL, the "Lion" isn't an option, is it?
  9. This is literally what people have been telling you this whole time. Don't take the option/cut him/tear up the contract - whatever they call it - with your right hand, and hand him his new FA contract with your left hand.
  10. This is where I'm at. It was my first time there and I was excited to see it and make the comparisons. It is obviously a brand new stadium and incredible so everything I say is just nitpicking. I thought it looked amazing from the exterior - it was really cool to see in the distance as we were driving up - didn't have quite the same aesthetic hit as IG for me. I think ours looks better from the outside. I couldn't tell you if the concourses were wider or not, honestly didn't seem to be too much of a difference. I certainly don't think it was any easier/harder to move around the councourses - the endone areas with the stage were gridlock (but that's a Grey Cup issue). I definitely prefer our open concept and, I don't know if it was just me, but do they not have any signage that shows sections numbers?? Every time I left my seat I had to walk in and out of different sections to find out where I was. Bathrooms were a disaster - though I read that some were taken over by the commissioners lounge? And of course, it still looks like a toilet bowl. We obviously have a similar overhang, but it just looks so much better. I'm certainly not going to judge the crowd noise of a semi-neutral crowd during a game the Riders weren't in.
  11. That's a fine line to walk - the more you know, the more realize realize how corrupt and terrible the world is and how little power we have to do anything to do about it. I've never been more mentally fragile than I was during covid and 90% of my time was spent reading the news and people commenting about virus this, masking that. My wife and I talk about staying in our bubble. Be good people, raise our children to be good people. Hope to leave more positive impacts than we do negative.
  12. It's actually really interesting to read about mental health awareness and strategies from the perspective of a sports fan. These are really important topics that a lot of people might not otherwise read, but sharing it from the viewpoint of a disappointed fan makes it accessible for those who may not be inclined to seek the information out on their own. Very well done, Zach.
  13. Part of enticing BLM to sign will be signing an impact WR.
  14. Legs was not the reason we lost. But it was the one part of the loss that we could have anticipated and addressed prior to the Grey Cup.
  15. To be fair, Bob dropped a lot of smack before ending on that "reasonable" tweet.
  16. I 100% believe that the team will trust him to continue to develop. Any “challenge” will be in name only.
  17. Not hate - but he was planning on hitting FA last season and has had injury trouble. He was easily our best player of the first half - before getting injured…. He’s a player I can see moving on. Ellingson is another guy who I can see not coming back. I would bring Thomas back if there’s mutual interest. I hope we can fit Darby in this time around.
  18. We were talking all night about this. OL runs it back with a strong possibility that Drew D returns to solidify our interior. Our PR guys may try to push Hardrick, but I think continuity wins out. There exists the possibility that we sing Kenny Lawler and then Dalton spends half the season trying to make it in the NFL but returns for the second half push. We are going to have a plethora of options in the secondary after another season of young guys getting long looks. The only thing in question for me is the DL. Do we see some changes there? I know the team loves Willie, don’t anticipate anything changing there. Does Jeffcoat move on? Can we add to our interior?
  19. We will trot Legs out with no competition next year guaranteed. Say what you will about the kid, but he was leaps and bounds better this year than last. Let’s hope he can still add some strength.
  20. Monson is a guy who has grinded and worked his way up. He may be a candidate in the future - but the focus always seems to go to the younger OCs. Kilam is a STC. Has definitely been talked about for HC opportunities. But the jump from STC is less common. A lot of people remained their eyebrows when we hired MOS. They were saying the same things that people are now saying about Buck too. And Delmonaco has moved around a ton in his career, looking for increased opportunities. He just seems to have hit his ceiling/comfortable spot. I don’t think that’s true of Buck (though I absolutely think/agree with the notion that he’ll wait for a good opportunity.
  21. If not this year, then next. There isn’t an example of a coach who just stays in the same place and role for his whole career.
  22. It just shows that players have as many biases as the media does.
  23. Money, OL, surrounding cast. He may go to BC first, but they need to at least match other offers.
  24. I don't believe we'll ever get the answer. He'll be in the NFL and he'll come back as a FA.
  25. Does every team pick up the third year option for every draft pick (that has one built into their contract)? Is there the option decline the +1?
