  1. Meh. They can grind out a few long drives on his back. Meanwhile Zach can score from any point of the field.
  2. I thought he was done for the year when it happened but at some point a few weeks ago someone reported he was working to get back. Naylor, maybe? We might see him in play-offs?
  3. You're confusing fan worry with Walters worry. Walters has a budget and tiers. I imagine his first thoughts are attempting to lock up Schoen and Demski. He may have his eyes on other CFL FA's, but he's need to deal with in-house guys first.
  4. Because we didn't want Harris back... Demski will get paid fairly and be right where he belongs.
  5. Even tight lipped O'Shea has said he expects Ellingson back in the regular season. Just giving him one game to get back into the swing of things and back on the bench, I'd imagine. Then it's "just win, baby".
  6. Probably too early to say. Have to see how the group shakes out first. I agree that he's probably no longer plan A - though he certainly had the opportunity to be had he stayed healthy.
  7. Yeah, I was talking after next season...and only if he got some opportunities and looked like he was improving.
  8. Dru Brown is probably the best looking prospect we've seen at QB, but there's no way he sticks around for 3 more years if he continues to look good.
  9. I expect Bighill to be back at a similar price. Jeffcoat is a guy we almost lost - the Bombers (and Willie) put on the full court press to get him back last season - so 50/50?
  10. The thing with WJ is that he isn't always playing for the sack. He often does an initial push and then hangs back. Probably looking to bat the ball down. If we're talking extension - he's clearly doing what Hall wants him to do - even if the counting stats are down.
  11. That kind of makes sense.
  12. Bought my Zach jersey this year and am super pumped about this extension.
  13. Exactly what I assumed it would be. Whew....I'm getting all tingly.
  14. Any extension you hear about before December 1st is doing exactly that.
  15. As funny as the Rod clip is, it's what everyone was saying and thinking at the time. It's what I was saying when the Riders first signed him, when they re-signed him, when they traded him, and when we traded for him.
  16. Only show in town talking daily local sports. I'll take it.
  17. There's an interesting point I hadn't considered. (still a garbage kick by Leggs to take the penalty).
  18. Yeah, sure, easy peasy. Even if you found the next great one, it’s probably years before he leads your team onto the field though.
  19. I kind of shrug my shoulders. He’s not even in my top 5 of things wrong with the Riders. Every team is always looking for the next great QB, but there’s actionable things they can do right to improve their team.
  20. Dickie hopes to keep his job: “I believe you earn your keep on a day to day basis, I’ve been around Craig (Reynolds) and Jeremy (O’Day) enough over the last four years that hopefully they see the work that we’ve put in as a staff, the comrade in the locker room, they’ve for the most part a pretty good group of men, not a lot of out of the field stuff, we’ve had a blip here and there, but for the most part they’re gentlemen and they’re good community people and the season didn’t go as planned. ” https://www.620ckrm.com/2022/10/14/303599/#.Y0qmCrs-7ys.twitter
  21. I’m not going to respond but fans of ‘the office” know what I’m thinking here.
  22. Fair, but we're talking about a foot not a concussion or back injury. So, I guess I would have more faith in the process and just letting Rourke push himself as much as he feels he can. Again, I do not expect to see him play.
  23. Again, you let the player and the medical team go through the re-hab process. I do not believe at all that we will see Rourke. But I wouldn't force him to go home if the doctor's say he's ready to throw a ball to see how he will physically react.
  24. He did not have surgery. I just knew that he also had a lisfranc sprain. I take that it was much less severe.
