The 2001 stats are actually really comparable: https://www.statscrew.com/football/stats/t-CFLWPG/y-2001 https://www.bluebombers.com/team-stats/

Future Ring of Honour Members (Thanks for the idea, DT)

I don't know if I can put Jefferson there. Bighill probably same - just spent too much of his career in BC. Bryant and MOS are already locks. I'd like to see Collaros play for a couple more seasons - I know the Grey Cups are amazing, but this is going to be his second season with us (and first 18 game season). There has to be some longevity to a RoH spot. -
Sure. Not my job though. My job is to ***** and moan why I can't buy tickets for the West Final yet.
-
I'd like to point out that after beating Edmonton, we just need to win one game against BC to get to 15 wins and set a new team record.

Toronto has higher swings. When they're bad, they're bad, when they're good, they're good. Montreal is just as inconsistent of course, but I don't think their upside is as high as TO's.

Injury Report, Lineup Changes, Roster Moves

Jeffcoat has obviously been dealing with something all year, so I don't know if we every get him at 100%. But hopefully they can get him some rest and he can gut it out for play-offs. Wilson's been gone so long I don't really expect him back. He hasn't started practicing and would need some time to get into game shape after that...might be a pipe dream. I always expected Ellingson back but again, it's again, it's been so long. That went from being such an awesome signing to a huge disappointment. Hope he's ok. -
2022 CFL Season - Non Back 2 Back Champs News

I'm really hoping they've planned that out already. Like a Dickenson-esque succession plan. -
He's obviously not a good QB, but he could be effective if they built around him. Why every team doesn't follow Walters' method of over-drafting OL, I'll never understand. And Maas does not seem to utilize his strengths at all. There are so many shitty teams and QBs that the Riders should easily be able to walk into the play-offs, they just can't get out of their own way.

I am also quite a bit heavier than I was at 22.

Look at the QB stats this year. It’s a mine field. We desperately need a talent influx.
-
They would have done it already if they were going to before the season ended. There was one report that stated OSEG doesn't want to play two coaches - so there's probably hope that the team will show something late in the year so they can keep Lapo on. But there's no way they can sell that.

Suuuuper impressed with BOLO
-
He’s had some bad injury luck (and covid) that have kept him from that 1k season. He’ll get it though.

Dam it

Reminder that when we’re complaining about the official, we’re not complaining about the guy making the call, we’re complaining about the whole crew.

I was gonna argue your first post but….

Big Willie starting with some burst!

They’re either going to miss completely or get bounced in the East semi, guaranteed.

I think the difference between this year and last is injuries. We had unreal health luck last year. -

I still feel like you're the one reading way too much into people's posts.. We have suffered a lot of injuries and it is affecting us. We've continued to overcome those losses but of course there will be a point when it would become unsustainable for any team. We are not seeing much pressure from our DL - which is how Evans was able to experience such great success - but we still are not rotating our starters out to keep them fresh. I have the ability to be confused about that aspect of our roster management without believing the sky is falling. -

The last word on Drew was that he wasn’t returning to the CFL this season while he waits for another NFL opportunity. -

Are we not allowed to discuss roster management or our depth in regards to injuries when we have a winning record? If you look at the pick 'ems, everyone expects to win; we're just talking. -

There’s a few things Willie does that wouldn’t be acceptable from any other player, lol -

So, Willie out in the Free Press this morning giving the Riders some Bulletin board material: This is in the context of being asked about Dickenson's "we're not a good football team" comments: “Any chance they get to make a mistake, every week, they pretty much do it. There are some good guys on their team, it’s just the lack of leadership. Like I said, there’s some good guys on the team, but the guys that are out there making mistakes seem to not care,” Bombers defensive end Willie Jefferson told the Free Press after Tuesday’s practice. “They’re just out there to play for themselves, not trying to play for the team, not trying to play for the organization or the city. That is a city driven team, you know what I’m saying? For you to not have that on your mind going out there to play, it’s hard to be disciplined. So, that’s something that we preach over here. We want to play together, we want to be disciplined, and we want to play a clean game, but that’s something that they don’t do over there.” Neufeld and MOS asked the same question but gave the usual respect your opponent themed answers.
