I don't think they have to, I seen articles in the MG saying parties have inquired about buying the franchise before. It should be done though cuz if he keeps owning that team, he's going to cause it to fold.

If that buffoon even has a job in this league after all this garbage, the CFL Board of Governors should force the sale of the Als. I'm dead serious. Andrew Wettenhall is a **** disgrace for allowing Reed to have that job. The CFL Board of Governors must do its job and vote him out of there. Then they must demand he sell the Als to a more competent owner.

This, although I have always respected Trestman as a coach and think he was good for the league for the time he was here, he never developed a QB. Yes he put Calvillo in position to bring home those Grey Cups in the twilight of his career and help resurrect Ricky Ray after being injured and having a big mess of 2016. But he didn't invest enough development time in any of AC's backups and showed no patience with Franklin. Good coach, but not quite the QB wizard people think.

Um, Popp is going to be gone too from what I hear. And trust me he would never throw Trestman under the bus. From what I understand, Argos ownership did this because Trestman had some personal issues going on that affected his ability to coach and he was in trouble with them coming near the end of this.

Yup, if he had wanted to return to Montreal, he would have done so already. While having Lulay in BC would make an ideal situation if he wanted to keep coaching, couple things still going on which are ... 1. Until Buono actually and I mean actually makes it official that he's stopped coaching and trying to run anything in BC, that vacancy is anything but assured 2. Even if Buono does finally get out, I'm guessing Ed Hervey is staying. Trestman isn't going anywhere Popp isn't.

Yup, it's official https://www.cfl.ca/2018/11/03/argos-part-ways-head-coach-marc-trestman/

D. Davis vs J Franklin ... Interesting

Could be Trestman's last game as the Argos head coach. Hope it ends well for him if so.

Officially ... No. But for good reason, we suspect Maas's intemperate ways of coaching may be starting to wear thin on the Esks players. He's also been on a bit of a Benevides in BC trajectory, a slow decline that got him fired there even when he did make the playoffs. The way those 2 men have been running things there, Edmonton's management which does not give very long ropes very well could be on the way to throw out another HC, unless their players in this meaningless game really send a big message that they want to keep them both.
-
Not to mention with Streveler in development, this is a good opportunity for him or even Bennett to get more good reps.
-
I suspect Harris may be the first to get pulled from the game. He might get enough to get those yards, but then he'll sit so he's fresh for the playoffs.
-
So what is the best approach to take for this game? Do you play all, most or none of your key starters? Should Chris Streveler get the whole game or should Nichols get the first half? The struggle is always never to needlessly risk injury to a starter in the season finale because playoffs have to take precedent, but at the same time you want them to get mentally ready for the big time and not go in on cruise control. One might feel this will be a game that Edmonton's players might be fired up and ready to play thereby giving us a competitive one as playoff preparation and here's why. Certainly the playoff picture is practically all set as we'll be in third place in the West regardless, and certainly Edmonton doesn't have that to play for. But Mass's future could be in doubt there, and the question could be whether or not the players want to come out and play to keep him there. If they do, we can definitely expect they will come out swinging hard. But even if not, they still could because they know if Maas is fired, the next guy might take notice and decide to cut anyone he doesn't think is putting up a tough effort. Lotta things at play in this game, lotta things.

I did not know that. I would have figured the divisional record would have been the deciding factor when determining the tie breaker between two teams with the same point amount and tied in head to head.
-
Good, can't wait to throw the kitchen sink at him again and see the Willy in the headlights with the bull rush coming down on him again.
-
This I'd say was the biggest culprit of failure. Jairius Jackson and Buono came in with a lame game plan. This will not happen with Lapolice calling plays.
-
Does yours have a shutout? Hell ****ing no
-
Ridiculous!!!
-
Well considering we shut em out the last time around, I'd say Bighill and company have figured out how to overcome rotten Richie's deficiencies to get in their offense's head. So long as Dressler and Adams are put in position to succeed again by Lapolice, I'd say we got em. At least I don't think Lapolice will go AWOL like Jairius Jackson did tonight.
-
Yup, they'll get all too confident not knowing over here that Harris, Dressler and Bighill are jumping up and down at the idea of taking them out in their house.
