  1. Don't know who Jones is going to put behind center for SSK today (I assume it's Collaros), but whoever it is, Claybrooks needs to blitz them heavy and cause them to fold like a tent. Finish SSK off so we can go knocking em right off of second place next week when we upset CGY. Go Stamps 27-6 score I'm calling.
  2. I'll take the we're in with a win scenario every time.
  3. And yet we allowed him to get 77 points on us. In his defense, he has a Jekyll Hyde QB out there
  4. Assuming Calgary murders SSK tomorrow, that should fire up the guys not to go on cruise control after the bye as they will then have a shot to bump SSK down to 3rd. I just hope Collaros is still shell shocked so Claybrooks sends the mad charging bulls on his defense after him on Saturday.
  5. They're both mediocre bums
  6. Raddy defense all around by the Redblacks
  7. I seen Calgary slow down late in the season before. And with Nichols out of his funk and the defense hopefully continuing the up trend, I say we got em.
  8. The game that probably has the most bearing on where the west playoff final. I know either outcome can help us, and ultimately it will be on us to control our own destiny, but I think a BC win might make it a little easier. If BC wins, then Edmonton will be 8-9, and one win for us at home next week against Calgary will give us 10 wins and an automatic playoff berth. Of course, I'm also counting on SSK to choke away their last two games so if we win ours they'll forfeit second place and we'll get it and a hosting of the WSF.
  9. Yeah, I'd hope. It's just that Leos shock win in CGY is what I was saying about old Buono finding ways to steal wins he shouldn't get.
  10. It's insane that you could actually have a team go 9-9 this year and still miss the playoffs. Don't think I've ever seen that happen before.
  11. Doubt there'll be any pink slips though there will be one retirement hopefully. Right now, it's regular season champ with O'Shea. Time to exorcise playoff chump now.
  12. Well, I think we all but secured a spot in the playoffs today, especially with the Esks and Lions still having to play each other, though where we will play remains to be seen. We do still have one more date with the Stamps obviously, but right now the Bombers are rolling hot and finally ... Maybe this defense will play at championship level when it matters. So now, I will say Mike O'Shea has proven his worth as a regular season head coach. If he can win one more game, he'll be the first head coach in Winnipeg to have 3 winning seasons in a row since Ritchie from 2001 to 2003. No small thing. But now ... The biggest question is can he make it count? Can he get this no playoff win monkey off his back? He's got the open window, perhaps the widest it's ever been this year to get to the Cup. Time to translate these wins into running the table in the West and rolling through whoever that East opponent is.
  13. Not to mention they're too dumb to know he's not a free agent. And no, the Bombers aren't going to trade him, well at least not without demanding equal value to Manziel.
  14. No no no, keep him, we need Collaros to keep sucking so that their playoff hopes end up in the barbecue
  15. I hope Collaros keeps this stink up so their whole playoff hopes go into the barbecue
  16. Hmmm, damn, and old Andrew Wettenhall is too dumb to fire Reed and bring them back to Montreal.
  17. Uh oh, don't suppose ole Popp's gonna try head coaching again? I mean, kinda hate to see Trestman go, but at least better he does so on his own.
  18. Complete brain fart on my part. Yeah, Trestman has enough offensive issues on his plate, but a bad defense is going to make it worse for him. He'll need a new and improved DC before long.
  19. Kinda gets you wondering how in the world they mustered that comeback against Ottawa a few weeks ago. Lotta questions going on with that team as to whether or not Trestman's 2017 Grey Cup run was his last, what they're going to do with Franklin going forward, and more so if Corey Chamblin's going to get fired.
  20. I would definitely take Claybrooks over Hall any day of the week, and anyone who wouldn't is just plain old obtuse with loyalty like our head coach.
  21. The biggest problem is that whenever we find something that's working like we did last week in Edmonton, we seemingly never build on it. Hall goes back to calling that same back the corners off junky zone prevent defense he was calling before that allows QBs like Harris and Masoli to pick it apart. But the reason the angry anti-Hall mob is still in full force is because he stinks it up year after year in the playoffs. Mike O'Shea is 0-2 in the playoffs because he has allowed Hall to call garbage games in them and blow leads like he did last night that end up requiring Medlock to kick 61 yard FGs to try and take back. The playoff games are the biggest and most important games of the season, and coaches who stink in them usually get fired on other teams, but this loyalty problem we have has prevented that. Nobody is going to be appeased this year if anything short of a Grey Cup win happens.
  22. You forgot to add the option for hardcore Richie Hall apologist.
  23. He had the corners way backed off on the final drive of regulation and made no adjustments to the tempo offense. Awful on his part.
