This, the idea that Nichols has turned into Willy is ridiculous. I have never once seen him turtle under and take sacks the way Willy does. He's just in a bit of an accuracy mishap, and while I like Lapolice he needs to change up the run every time on first down approach. Use play actions to bait defenses up on Harris and open up the field. And use more of that draw play, Lapo is a master at using draw plays. And I'd say yes, Nichols and the offense are looking worse because our defense is an abomination. We got the worst defensive coordinator in CFL history who is so bad not even Reinbolds defenses have been as bad as his. It is all their fault we have a 7-year playoff win drought coupled with the Grey Cup drought and not Nichols fault.

Even though JFG is not a deep threat, he broke a hell of a lot of tackles catching short balls which I liked. But the other two yeah I'll give you that. I think PE is just reading a little too much into the change at WRs we got and assuming it's causing Nichols problems. I don't believe that's what it is. I think our OL while still fairly good isn't nearly as solid without Bond. I'm a bit concerned now with the Hardrick injury I saw last game. I do think Nichols did face a little more duress than he had usually this last game. I also blame our softass defense and it's awful DC for some of Nichols problems too. Every time he led a TD drive to try and cut the lead they couldn't get a stop to save their lives, and if that's what we gotta deal with the rest of the year against good offenses, we're ****ed. Defense has to do its job and step up and make plays.

Guidino I liked. Denmark kinda went invisible last year. Like I said, I don't get how Randle didn't make this team after coming down with an amazing deep ball catch in preseason when Lankford has not even come close to making a play like that. Just ridiculous we keep giving that awful route running butterfinger dud chances.

That might be true, but as I said in another thread, I don't like this pointing out Nichols stats too much. Considering Harris is our usual red zone weapon, I feel like his TDs after Nichols gets close kinda skew those numbers. Also, this is no slight on Streveler, but he did get to play against the awful Montreal defense in one of those games. I got a feeling Nichols numbers would also get a big boost playing against them.

The only weak link in our WR core imo is Lankford. MOS made a mistake in keeping him over Reuben Randle in preseason, so if Randle is available, give his phone a ring.

You come in enemy territory you get just that, so no we don't take it easy on any enemy fans. Having said that, should be a great two weeks of football coming up. If I'm a ssk fan, id be nervous about Nichols finding his groove again because he has played petty well against SSK in recent years. Only thing that might negate that is Richie Hall being bad.

Pipkin is making that Manziel trade look even worse now. Personally, I'd say he should be their starter from here on out because he at least showed some poise and even delivered a few great balls behind that horrific OL, at least better so than all those other MTL QBs. He's got a good release, can scramble and throw on the run a little, and if he had a decent OL, receivers who weren't butterfingers and a play caller who knew what he was doing he'd be a star pretty quickly. He's got deep ball accuracy too.
