  1. Well the main point is that the onus is on O'Shea to do it since he gets to make the call. And since it seems he's been unwilling to do it, a bit of heat/pressure coming down on him might get him more willing to make the change.
  2. The bad dirty hits aside, I definitely gotta wonder how anyone could see this game and not agree that Richie Hall = awful. His defenses have been some of the softest over the last 15 years that I've ever seen.
  3. Similar score to last game
  4. I'm cool with it, I just think the MLB should do that too.
  5. Lol of course they don't cancel, I just didn't know if they had a deadline for how late a game could start at night or if the postponed start ever had to get bumped back a day or so.
  6. So... I'm guessing it would get rescheduled for an early slot tomorrow if it got called off for storms tonight? Or would we be looking at Sunday night?
  7. Well, it was a winning debut for James Franklin in his inaugural start as an Argo, but I got a feeling his old team will probably take this one. They know they let opportunities slip away in the last game and following up a dramatic home win with a big road one isn't easy for a young QB. Just hopefully this game has some fireworks.
  8. Well, it will be .... Travis Lulay. Should be more interesting but still very winnable.
  9. Not when the Burke system is currently working in Calgary
  10. That still doesn't mean you play a silly bend and break pseudo prevent defense like the garbage system we currently have in place.
  11. He played defense, but his coaching specialty is still special teams, so how much he can do by getting involved in defense probably won't be much. As we've said, I don't think anyone here thinks the defense will have all bad games. I also think we've shown we can have winning seasons despite a mediocre D. But that's not the end game. The end game is to raise expectations that the D will stifle Edmonton, Calgary or Saskatchewan's offenses enroute to sweeping the Grey Cup home to the Peg. Bend but don't break doesn't work against them either. It must be constant man to man press coverage glue sticking every down, the way Tim Burke did it here.
  12. Well, I just can't picture that stadium without those dudes in there doing their drum beating
  13. Yeah well, that still is aggravating if it means another wasted playoff campaign trying to get the ever elusive cup now getting close to 30 years.
  14. Yeah, I definitely can't see BC just mailing this one in. Buono is certainly getting long in the tooth, but he's been around long enough to know what to do when he needs to prepare a team to play, and they certainly got their pride over there plus a home crowd that I'm sure will fill up BC Place Saturday night. Plus even though I think Jennings may make a mistake or two in this game, I still expect him to play better than he did last game. It will look much more like the tightly contested games we've been having against these guys the last few years I expect.
  15. I think we all hope it will not have to come down to that. You certainly would think any more playoff losses in which our offense scores over 30 points yet still loses that he would realize continuing on with a stubborn DC and running a bbdb defense is not the way you're going to get to the cup or win it. But just feels like 4 years is way too long to keep him and I think a lot of people just want to know in some way that change will come with another 1 and done or a failure to make the cup.
  16. Good, at least then if we don't end up keeping Streveler he'll end up wearing the MTL red instead of that filthy SSK green.
  17. Hmm, influenced too wrong by Khari maybe? At least I assume he got a lot of tips on drawing up plays from Khari.
  18. Crazy, the Poll's been a big 50/50 split, 26 yeas and 26 nays.
  19. Are we sure it's the Lions we want out? I think I might rather have Reilly and the Esks sitting at home.
  20. Whoever is an international on defense who isn't cutting it.
  21. I'd also say so long as he wore the GM hat he never truly retired. Coaching upstairs while Benevides and Tedford are down there it was pretty obvious. Lions knew they had to pull the plug on that finally to get him out of there. Perhaps because they did that, they felt they owed him one last ride into the sunset.
  22. This is one thing I knew we could be confident Lapo would do is throw in a few fake QB sneaks with options for Streve to throw. LeFevour always ruined them when he didn't run because he had the worst noodle arm of any QB I've ever seen. Streveler has the gun.
  23. The main problem is if the front 4 isn't hitting the QB, it's defective. Going bland against the better offenses in this league never works, and that's his problem. He never changes that approach.
  24. Week 4 in the books ... And now week 5 features all the good teams with no bad ones playing. MTL, SSK and Ham are all on bye.
  25. Jennings certainly seems to have been nothing more than a flash in the pan. Though it's fair to wonder how he'd do if he got shipped out and sent over to backup Trevor Harris in Ottawa or something.
