  1. His defensive playbook and defensive play calling are even worse than Marcel Bellefeuille's were on offense. No adjustments whatsoever, and no bad MLB to blame it on either. A thief and a liar has been allowed to be our DC.
  2. Well, we can only hope someone on the Board of Directors brings it up that Richie Hall is a liar and a thief. A liar because he always claims the defense is fixed when it's not, and a thief because he's stealing money from our club.
  3. I think Streveler is better than that. His numbers may have been low but he kept fighting and even when down 21 was trying to will the team back to win. Really can't blame him when Chungh and whoever else that was committed those back breaking penalties and Dressler had 2 uncharacteristic drops. He had it a bit too easy last week against the sad sack Montreal team and was going to have an off week sooner or later. I'm not too worried about his confidence going forward though.
  4. Well, knowing the way we're run now and the lack of current options able to step in and fix it, I'm afraid it won't be till the end. But there is absolutely no more excuses for Hall. None whatsoever. I can forgive Lapolice when we have a rookie QB who was also victimized by OLmen committing drive killing penalties and WRs dropping balls. But when you got a DC whose been given 4 years with several different player switches and nothing gets fixed on defense, that's a fireable offense if I ever saw one.
  5. Lapolice has at times gone a bit too conservative when dealing with young QBs. He hasn't had his best masterpiece tonight. But still... Our defensive problems are all Richie Hall's fault. If it takes Wade Miller and the Bomber BOD to order his firing at the end of the season ... Then so be it.
  6. Hate to say it but we're not winning a cup until Richie Hall is run out of here. Hall = Dodo
  7. We gotta put the whack on Masoli early and often tonight.
  8. Well, while Nichols is in his early 30s, he's certainly not in Ricky Ray retirement territory by any means. My one concern is that he has injured his knee planting it now twice: once last year in that BC game and then again this year. Certainly hope he doesn't have a chronic knee problem.
  9. Well, you never know when a guy may want to try head coaching again. While he certainly is in no rush to do it I don't believe, and while he certainly will not take a HC job in a **** situation like MTL, it shouldn't be assumed that he's decided never to HC again. I doubt it will be in BC next year, but don't put it beyond him to give it one more spin if the right situation presents itself. And I don't see that as a bad thing. Him getting HC job offer calls really speaks volumes of how good an OC he is.
  10. Fenner gonna have to go lights out. Course the crazy thing is I actually like Leggett back there in the defensive backfield better.
  11. I might not say that the job was handed to Franklin, but the Argos made a substantial investment in him by getting him right before the trade deadline ended and securing his early rights. I'd say with that deal done they'll give him a very good amount of leeway to try and get the job done. Now, if in these next few weeks he absolutely stinks up the joint, then MBT might get a crack at it. I won't say that TO will all the sudden start winning lights out with Franklin, but I think he'll do an adequate enough job to hang onto his spot.
  12. Yes actually, he's always stuck pretty much to 1 QB with each offense he's ever managed.
  13. Well, Trestman has to take the training wheels off the offense first though and give Franklin I'd say at least a good 3 or 4 games to see what he can do. If he's a no-go, then MBT might get a shot.
  14. Tajh Boyd didn't make it up here and he was a better QB than Gardiner. I don't see DG as an upgrade over Bridge or having VA's talents.
  15. IF he pans out. Course they knew they would have to make way for the next QB quick anyway because even if Ricky Ray hadn't gotten injured, they knew he still was very close to retirement and Matthews and Fajardo in the time they were given both stunk. We'll find out shortly if Franklin lives up to his billing, but it was a risk they had to take.
  16. Well, I more meant it like soon we might actually be talking about Streveler surpassing him and actually being the hottest stock on the rise.
  17. Well ... Spotlight is now officially on Franklin. Is he the Warren Moon he got sold as? Or is he a below average Adrian McPherson or Jarius Jackson guy?
  18. Well, it's now official that the Franklin era has begun in Toronto and we'll soon find out whether they bought the league's next Warren Moon, or a pile of fools gold. The comparisons of Streveler to Franklin can really start now.
  19. Not necessarily. His previous four seasons or so were riddled with injuries and after he won the cup, it seemed like the right occasion to walk out gloriously. Make no mistake, he definitely earned the right to keep playing as long as he felt he could do it. And his legacy is firmly cemented as one of the league's top QBs and fan favorite MOPs. But he had definitely made it known in a press conference earlier this year that he was heavily considering retiring and it's definitely possible he's looking back now thinking it probably would have been better long-term had he done so. But hoping he recovers and hopefully in his future invests his time in youth football leagues. Those young people can learn a lot from him.
  20. Certainly after seeing that clown Lyle Bauer show how stupid he was here, Miller's way of doing things has been the breath of fresh air needed. Plus I know we were all frustrated in the first two years here because the rebuild didn't happen overnight. But once we did have that winning season in 2016, I believe we then laid the groundwork for more to come with expectations now being that we as fans raise them to the point that Grey Cups must start coming. Now the only thing maybe I'd call for from up on high if I was Wade Miller is the removal of Richie Hall. I think our defensive personnel are getting better, but he never makes changes to his playbook and QBs like BLM and Reilly always predict what he's calling. I'm for getting a young blood in at DC who will call exotic looks and throw new tight man and variable pressure packages in at Edmonton and Calgary that will throw em off balance, or play 2 deep safeties that take away deep balls.
  21. Yes, but having a broken QB who has no mobility, is trigger shy and plays with the deer in the headlights mentality makes it even worse. Is Vernon Adams going to magically fix that offense? Not likely but he has way more upside and athleticism than Willy and should have never been released from MTL in the first place. Willy is done and the Als need to roll with Adams and possibly see what Schiltz and Pipkin also have. Doubt Jeff Matthews has a future in the league either.
  22. Drew Willy is done because even with decent OLs he holds onto the ball too long and has a slow release. I got a little late to the party, but now that I hear Adams is back in MTL Drew Willy should be benched immediately. Starting him any more games is a waste of time and keeps the Als' offense in a **** show.
  23. I'm almost certain Montreal will come knocking on his door and he's better than any QB currently on that roster.
  24. Yup, I believe by the time this season is over they'll be wishing Durant had stuck on the blue and gold uniform instead of having to see Mike Reilly 2.0 come out on the field against them.
