Mack is the asst GM though and has probably close to as much say as Reed. Also heard one person they considered for HC once their other candidates fell through was Gary Crowton. Yup, I'm not lying he was on their list, and I'm most certain that was Mack doing it. Obviously no they didn't hire him, but that he was even on their list period is insane. Mack definitely is a big cancer in that organization.

I don't believe Mike Sherman really has all that big of aspirations in the league. He was practically already retired and just coaching high school football not to get back into big coaching jobs but just as a charity to his community. But he was offered one more coaching gig now in MTL that even if it doesn't work out still gives him one more paycheck to retire on, so it's a win-win for him. Biggest thing to look at is why they had to hire him, and i guarantee you he wasn't who they wanted first. They were hoping to get Lapolice or Claybrooks for the job, but someone forgot to tell Dodo Wettenhall that Joe Mack scapegoated Lapo and ruined their working relationship. And Claybrooks is young and has all the time he needs to get a bigger and better coaching opportunity in the future. Montreal can't get these high quality coaching candidates because they're putting arrogant ignoramuses in their front office. Wettenhall is absolutely clueless about who is qualified to be a GM.

There is definitely no need to rush Matt back into action the way this is going. The competition is probably going to be tougher next week with what the TiCats are doing to the Risks right now. But still ... Too much good and promise with both Streveler and Bennett to rush Nichols back at all. I say wait until he's at 100℅.

I can't even believe he was the TC favorite just watching how Streve and Bennett both just seem to toss it with ease out there. We can always give Ross to the Als though. He just might be an upgrade over anyone on their current roster.

It is, and I must say there could not be a starker contrast between these two franchises in how they are run. Obviously the Als are an example of the bad that private ownership can be since they have no BOD or shareholders to be accountable to. Sherman won't be there long, but no coach is going to fix that mess in one season I don't think. But ... Yeah, Willy just needs to hang it up at this point so the Als can at least see what they got in their youngster QBs.

Ahh yes ... Man oh man though ... I do have to keep in mind the Als are awful and not a great team to use as a QB performance metric. But damn .... It's just the way he runs this offense and fires those balls like lasers at times that's just crazy how he does it. Deepest QB roster I've ever seen on this team.

Well, no surprise of this. When your franchise management is in such disarray, that score is about what you get. But ... Damn I just have to call them out on it. Everyone watching on TV can see Willy is cooked. I mean, you go down by 24 points, he's taking all those sacks, HC has gotta be thinking pull that guy. You're doing nothing for your offense by keeping him in. Now I'm not thinking Matthews is their guy either. Everything I've seen from him tells me he's not going to ever be starting. But you might as well roll with him and give Schiltz and Pipkin their reps too because you might at least have some playmakers there. Waiting till late in the 4th to pull Willy is just wasting time.

Well ... Only thing he needs to watch out for is running and not sliding enough. Got a little bit of the Reilly and Lulay mentality out there. Tough SOB, but gotta beware of big hits that could hurt the shoulder. Other thing is just not getting too overconfident after this win. This Als team may be the worst CFL team I've seen in a while, and yes that includes last year's Tiger Cat team under Austin, the 2014 Redblacks and our 2013 team. Evidence of that with even Bennett throwing the ball with ease. I'd venture to guess even LeFevour could have come in and looked like an all-star. But still ... This may be the deepest offense talent wise at QB and other positions that I've seen in a while.

That was definitely a cheapo by Muamba and you can't defend it. Not doing that. I will say though that Streveler's one weakness is a reluctance to slide. He's got a lot of the Mike Reilly and Travis Lulay mentality in him which is good cuz he's a tough SOB. But he's gotta be willing to slide feet first a lil more and not run head first into trouble as much.

It's just stupid to keep playing him though. You know he's not going to get his team back in this, and by keeping on playing him you're delaying seeing if your other QBs have any value in this league. If Sherman doesn't pull him, I'm going to venture to say Reed and Mack are forcing him to play Willy.

It's true he hasn't had much help. But he is showing he has deer in the headlights syndrome. He did this repeatedly even in Lapo's offense, and since you know you aren't going to win, you gotta pull him.

I suspect Bennet could get playing time in this 2nd half. If the Als are smart (which they've proven not to be), Willy will get pulled. That intentional grounding call was the straw that broke the camel's back. You give your offense nothing of value by continuing to play him. You might as well see what Matthews, Schiltz or even Pipkin can do because Willy is done. No way around it.

5 TDs already ... Man this is crazy ... Can't even believe he's a rookie. He's looking to bust McManus and Calvillo's records already.

Well, if our offense keeps this movement and ball control with TDs resulting up, Willy has gotta be on a very short rope. That sack taking of his is almost single-handedly killing the Als offense.

Or we'd have gotten a safety. Willy again hanging onto the ball too long and giving up sacks. Reminding us of why he's not a Bomber anymore.

I probably would have gone for it on 3rd and goal. I know you want points, but not making it means Willy is pinned deep. Hall's defense could get a turnover possibly.

Well, that might help ... Unless he just bumps Mack up into Reed's current seat in which case ... God help that city.

Definitely won't be getting a long-term deal here I wouldn't think.

True, but at this point he's the best they got since they got beat out by TO for Franklin and also let V Adams go. No other QB I know of out on the market is going to come in and help them.
