Here's the thing ... While it doesn't always sound like it, many people even critical ones are pleased with the overall direction of the team. I believe as long as Nichol, Harris, Adams and Dressler are healthy we got a shot to beat anyone. I don't believe anyone believes winning 11 games is a fluke, in fact i know it's not. BUT ... It doesn't mean that we don't have plenty of room for improvement cuz we do particularly on defense. Yes, you can build an offense that's good enough to cover defense's deficiency, I seen it happen many times. But rarely does said offense win it all because defense wins championships. As extreme as it sounds, posters are perfectly reasonable to call for a complete abolishment of the bend and don't break defense. It's a completely useless kind of defense. This team can get better and can do so by firing Richie Hall and hiring a DC who's going to scheme with a better MLB and going 100℅ with tight man coverage. Therefore building an uber stingy defense. There is nothing wrong with fans demanding a stingy give up no yards defense.

I believe that is called substituting in order to get fresh bodies on the field. Thing is it's Richie Hall's job to eliminate these screwups on those situations, and if he's not doing that, then that's all the more reason to fire him. If he can't fix that kind of stuff three years into his term here, he never will.

Sure it can, I seen Anthony Calvillo cover up for some pretty bad defenses in his time with lights out offense.

Hall is just as bad if not worse, in fact he is so bad I put him at a worse level than Jeff Reinebold. Etcheverry definitely had to go, make no mistake, but at least he had some imagination even if it was a bit too unconventional to produce a stingy unit. Hall has none of that and has put out the softest D I have ever seen in CFL history. Hall needs to get drop kicked out of here and sent to that unemployment line to beg for food stamps.

We'll have to see what kind of shape our O is in by then, but if Lapolice doesn't start calling more deep balls, getting Harris healthy, and have an aggressive enough plan for us to hang 30 plus points up, don't expect stinko Hall's defense to do anything except bend and break. Like I said, drop kick him outta here and we instantly become Grey Cup winners as good as CGY.

I think they're confusing needing a few position upgrades with needing a new GM. I also think they don't realize how awful our DC really is. I'm even willing to bank that all it would take is drop kicking him right out of here and we would have a Grey Cup winning team better than CGY.

I'm starting the countdown right now. 12 more days and 8 1/2 more hours till Richie Hall gets drop kicked outta here and never gets another coaching job again. As soon as he is fired and Hurl cut this team will become an instant Grey Cup contender. Book IT.

I just don't think GM is our biggest problem right now. Do we need to shore up a few spots on the team such WR, HB and MLB? Sure, but given what Walters has done so far, I don't expect him to sit idly by this offseason. After we made the Grey Cup in 2011, Mack got stupid and let the roster rot. I fully expect us to dump Hurl right out of here and get a beast player in his spot. I truly believe getting to and winning the Grey Cup is as simple as dropping Hall and Hurl, defense gets instant upgrade with those two gone.

I like the move to keep Nichols out. MOS knows he can't afford to have him not there when playoffs come. I'd also like to see what Davis can do with a week of prep.

I'd be open to that too. I mean, call the thread ridiculous if you want, but we got junk at WR outside of Dressler and Adams, and Denmark ... idk what's up there but he's completely MIA. Kelly, Carr, we gotta start getting guys who can run routes and catch worth a damn and throw out the duds like Lankford, Washington and ... fill in the blank for anyone else not doing their job.

I couldn't understand the lack of rolling the pocket for him enough or calling more designed QB runs. That's usually been our way of getting a QB some measure of confidence.

Like I said, embarrassed is not enough, he should feel absolutely humiliated with the stink he has put on the fields of IGF. And I'd actually say the results have gotten worse in 2017 and it's all his fault too. He had better hope for his own sake that the Blue are on the road for the WSF so at least he can be given his airline ticket out instead of being ceremoniously burned at a stake at midfield in IGF.

I would guess it's because Washington isn't exactly catching balls either right now and Givens is still trying to get a role here. That doesn't make Lankford any less of a detractor from this team. If we had been winning games with Hurl but lost him from the lineup and lost games, it wouldn't change my opinion of him either. Bad is bad.
