I'm probably going to get a lot of flack for suggesting it, but we need a WR right now who can be a deep threat. Greg Carr should be brought back here, he was a playmaker here and has height advantage on most corners. He's been playing in the AFL so he's in plenty of game shape and while he is 32, Terrance Edwards was still tearing it up at that age. He also is familiar with Lapolice's offense and wouldn't have much of a learning curve. We need some supplements to Adams and Dressler and a deep threat, and Greg Carr provides that. I say make a move to get him back here.

I'm hoping more than one more year as I see 0 current offensive coordinators out there who would be upgrades over Lapolice. What we need to your point is a tall WR of the Kelvin Benjamin type who can go up and pinpoint the ball deep. Add in that deep threat and our short passing game is wide open. Call me crazy but I wish we would give Greg Carr a call and ask him to come out of retirement.

And we could be 14-4 with a good DC.

I also believe he wants to win and will not keep a defensive coordinator who is the biggest detriment to winning ever.

On that note though, I do wish Lapo would do something though to take the heat off of Harris, he's taking the RB beating right now that Willy was taking under Bellefeuille.

Just because MOS said something about it on his radio show doesn't make it set in stone. Turn up enough complaining about Hall coming on the radio, the Bomber BOD and many others and I'm certain he's going to be getting chucked outta here.

His defense blew it last year against the Leo's and I'm not trusting him this year either. If there's one good thing about having to go on the road to Edmonton it's that he'll be kicked out of here pronto at the end of the game.

The thing is, I can't totally fault them for feeling that way because as a team improves, expectations have to be raised. And in this league, finishing the season and going into the playoffs on a high note is very important. But if there is one thing to be learned from this it's that bad defense is always going to kill you at some point no matter how good your offense is. Offense can win regular season, but defense wins championships. That's why as soon as this season as over, Hall and Hurl must be dropped like dead weights.

Nope, Lapolice has made bad QBs like Buck Pierce, Joey Elliot and Alex Brink look good, so no I disagree. He didn't succeed with Willy cuz Bellefeuille had ruined him already, and Willy has been bad everywhere else since too. Lefevour is also bad as as starter and has been shipped around because of it. As to D Davis .... I'm having my doubts he's ever going to get it either, but there have been plenty of other QBs besides Nichols that Lapolice has had success with.

I put no but think I probably agree with some points by the OP 1. I can agree with most that Walters and his scouting team should be able to get good quality backup WRs behind Dressler and Adams for when they go down. But I don't think they should be fired yet just in a west semifinal exit. 2. I think this offseason we kick Hurl outta here and get a real actual MLB who isn't the lousiest tackler in CFL history. Walters Dept again, but I believe they can come through on this. 3. There is just one coach on this team who is awful, and we all know who that is with a 21 page thread in his name. Maybe we interview N Thorpe and make it work with him and usher this Buffoon's speedy departure. The good news is despite a few Nichols injuries, they aren't as bad as Drew Willy's or Buck Pierce's. I believe if we fix this defense and get a few more WRs, we surpass CGY and win the west and Grey Cup. Firing the whole regime though will not accomplish this. Keep Walters, O'Shea and Lapolice and fire Hall.

I admit I'm blowing a little steam right now from the frustration of seeing Nichols and Harris join Darvin Adams on the injury report and yeah I know what you said is true. It's just when you got situations like this, the problems on defense get magnified. But we did make a mistake in bringing him here and I think he's as bad a DC as Bellefeuille was an OC.

Well if we did it right now we wouldn't have to delay the inevitable. I'm just so tired of a guy worse than Reinebold coaching this defense.

There's plenty to go around, but Richie Hall is a worse DC than Jeff Reinebold and had the dumbest plan ever for stopping Rainey.

Even with all the injuries and offensive problems, I still want Richie Hall fired to be made an example of and send a message that failure isn't an option.
