That post confused me. I don't know who is 1-0 at this point in the season, or if he was referring to the new mosaic or IGF as hell's kitchen. I'd say for them, it's gotta be more the latter.

We didn't hang 50 on the Esks, but I still feel we damaged a lot of morale on their defense because Harris and Flanders were out muscling them, punishing them and breaking tackles. As many said, at some point you just felt the big river was going to bust the dam they were holding with all those injuries, and it looks like it happened, and unfortunately the Riders were the beneficiaries last night. Having said that, I'm glad the west is no longer simply a 1-province (Alberta) domination holding. We now can battle the one right next to us for a slice of the pie and get it. I don't think we win both against SSK these next two weeks, but if we take one I'd say we're in good shape.

Lions @ Rodblacks / Argos @ Stampeders

Also on that note, the Redblacks had better hope these pickers don't jinx em like they did the Eskos last night -
Well, could be about a 3-hour break in between games here. Well ... who do I want to pick for this first game? I think if Ottawa gets to Jennings early in this one as the recipe has been for most teams, things could start rolling downhill quick in TD Place. If BC starts quick and JJ has the kind of game he says he wants, BC rolls. And for the later game, it was just a few weeks ago that the Stamps knocked Ricky Ray out. I don't think this is going to be a blowout game like last time, but the Argos are going to have to protect him better to have a shot at winning against Devone Claybrooks's stingy defense. I suspect with BLM's shoulder issues, Calgary's going to be looking to use Messam and Finch a lot in this one.

I hate to say it, but I'm afraid the way our offense did a number on the Esks last week caused their D to get worn down for the Ridirts
-
Terrible call against Duke Williams there
-
Reilly's going to have to go into shootout mode to take this one
-
He's certainly making Hajrallahu look a lot more like Paul McAllum with this. But damn ... Maas just seems to have his guys ill-prepared in general tonight.
-
Hugh O'Drunkbeard ... You Suck!!!
-
And now the Eskos beginning to give the Ridirts trouble on that big Zylstra play.
-
Well, at least ex Bomber Watson is still making Ridirts have trouble bringing him down.
-
Beyond that Reilly's looking way off tonight. Why can't he ever be that inaccurate against us?
-
uh oh, not a good start for the eskos
-
Or shall we say ... worse lol
-
Zylstra coming back could present some interesting challenges here. Do they put Ed Gainey on him or Duke Williams?
-
Well, that could be of course if they decide not to start Vernon Adams
-
I'm thinking Mosaic is Migs Anyway ... ahhhh Friday night football, I'm just gonna sit back and enjoy the outcome regardless.
-
I think that guy may be the biggest return. I mean, not that Marshall would gash em anyway considering he's not Harris, but his return certainly means the Riders run game will have a more difficult time.

Going to be a big one here. It's kind of a win-win either way you look at it for us. If SSK wins, we share 1st place in the west .... well depending on what happens in Sat night in Calgary. But if the Esks win, at least the Riders fall a bit further behind and will have a tougher time getting back in the division race. Esks still fighting through injuries but they are one resilient team. Going to be a good one.

The Most Important Game: Wpg @ Regina

If you beat Edmonton tonight, maybe there's a case to be made. If you don't though, you'll remain 3 1/2 games and 8 points behind us. -
The Most Important Game: Wpg @ Regina
USABomberfan replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Well, let's not forget a couple things. This game is always huge because it's the biggest CFL rivalry, and it's one that SSK will always come ready to play in and as we all know, records go out the window on Labor Day. And as usual, we can expect that new stadium of theirs to be sold out and romping. But as far as whose team is doing the best overall, clearly it is the Bombers. Now it doesn't mean we win on Sunday. We've had a 4-game win streak against them which is one of the longest we've had on them in forever. At some point, it's going to come to an end and I suspect they're going to leave it all on the field to try and give it to us. But just as in 2013 when our bad team beat their Grey Cup winning team, it did not mean that there was a debate about who was better. -
Bombers @ Als: The Game Day Thread
USABomberfan replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Checking back in after a long hiatus Well, it's hard to argue that this team keeps finding ways to win even if they are a bit more closer than they should be. I think I'd have to echo the concern about the defense. They were a liability at some points in the game, but they did come through FINALLY in OT when they needed to make a play. At some point I think it's going to be incumbent on them to step up if the offense sputters and do what championship caliber defenses do in regulation and not have to hope that the other team makes self-inflicted errors to bail em out. Still though, good teams always find ways to win and thus far we've done that. 7-2 is the best we've done in a while.
