  1. Well, I think a bit of the Redblacks better effort tonight can be pinned mostly on the events that took place this last week. Really has to suck that it took that much to get them to show up and play.
  2. Man oh man ..... Big implications here Although I don't get it, didn't they just review the whole play in its entirety? What would Campbell be challenging?
  3. That there was a pick that should've been reviewed
  4. Well, for whoever challenged me as to why I thought it was bad to put O'Brien in. THAT IS WHY
  5. Bad challenge by Higgins. Gonna waste one there. Woah what? That's crazy, I didn't think that warranted PI. Least we got a game brewing here though, 7-7
  6. There ya go, took you long enough Redblacks
  7. ESPN3 didn't show it either, didn't know who that was who flipped that coin I must say though, as much as I've ripped old hank, that was a hell of a speech there
  8. Well, the REDBLACKS are NOT playing the bombers so I expect a low scoring game again from them. Well, my hope is at least the Als don't join them in that regard. It's just silly though how many games that Redblacks defense has kept them in that their putrid offense can't capitalize on. My biggest beef with that is (if people could understand) that that Redblacks coaching staff is unwilling to try something new to fix that. And apart from that one onside punt attempt they pulled against the Riders, they've been unwilling to gamble. I just don't see how fans in that city can be happy about that.
  9. You need to put in the URL. https://twitter.com/sskroughriders
  10. Btw, speaking of the riders, what is this? I don't care what month it is, that just is awful. I'd be embarrassed about that pink field around the S, I wonder what their fans will say when their players start wearing pink helmets.
  11. Here's hoping someone in the Als game puts up more than 15 points in this game, Please no more 10-7, 15-7, 16-6 scores here, or someone in the Redblacks org needs to get fired. Game 2, the good game, here's hoping Matt Walter takes over and runs through the Rider ham defense, at least if I heard those reports right about John Cornish sitting this one. I think the Stampeders should activate Charleston Hughes at game time for this one, that way the Rider O-line gets vandalized.
  12. Cotton played behind an oline like we had the first games of the year where Grigsby ran for 120 yards. In last week's game where Cotton played behind the same line Grigsby had been he did just as little. Cotton did have a very good game but surely you will admit the line was totally different than it had been since the beginning of September. We may have made some rotations since the week before when Cotton played, but our O-line did not just all the sudden get better like you are suggesting. Granted Calgary was without Charleston Hughes which may have made their job a little easier, but it wasn't all that much better. Cotton showed much more explosiveness when taking that ball ahead than Grigsby did. Grigs was okay once he got into open space, Cotton on the other hand really did not need that, he created it himself. Sometimes you go running the ball a certain way and it works fantastic, other times not so much, but I think Paris has proven he is a lot more consistent with his running style. Sure some of Brohm's passes and Marve's scrambling helped a little, but at the end of the day, it's proven that Cotton runs with much more conviction.
  13. Ummm, that our O-line is bad? But then again you know that right? Honestly, it doesn't matter to me now whether or not he succeeds or fails, all I know is there were only a few times where he really ran like a man on a mission, and far too few for my liking. Maybe he'll do it more often for the Tiger Cats, maybe not, but so far a lot of those issues are not issues with Cotton, and I would have to agree his supporters were right when they said he didn't get enough chances before we sent him (Cotton) to the PR to show what he could really do. He's showing it now, and I say since he is, we stick with him.
  14. Game vs Calgary is now on there for those who missed it or who want to rewatch the extended action of Brian Brohm and Robert Marve https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtZy0K3WGnQ
  15. Yup, that and Weston Dressler who can return them, as well as Marshay Green, probably figured they'd just stick with what they knew for sure there. The Als on the other hand, not sure they have a consistent enough returner with Rodgers, but beyond that, Popp seems to like stacking up on RBs including scatbacks. and Brandon Whitaker is out for the season.
  16. Yup, I figured someone would beat me to it. For now Cotton is our man in the backfield, but who knows, if Stoudemire can't come back for the last 2 games, maybe he could help out on kick returns. Otherwise, I'm gonna take a wild shot in the dark that the Als might pick him up for that purpose. Don't know why them, but I got a strange feeling Montreal might swoop him up if not us.
  17. http://www.tsn.ca/tiger-cats-sign-former-blue-bombers-running-back-grigsby-1.112131 I feel rather indifferent about the signing, but I am curious to see how things play out for him there. If he becomes supportive of his new team mates and decides to change as a result of his past mistakes here in the Peg, I'll have to give him props for it. If he doesn't though, I think his CFL career is gonna be cut as short as Cleo Lemon's.
  18. Seems to me that NorthCarolinaBomberfan/USABomberfan believes that Campbell is an idiot and the worst CFL coach in history solely due to him not giving Elliott the starting job in Ottawa. You want to know why I'm dumping on Rick Campbell? Watch the replay of that Ottawa Hamilton game last night and look at the way he is managing the game. How does that not remind you of Tim Burke? I mean, as shoddy as his D has been throughout the year, they've had a few games where he should've had plenty in his tank to rally that O for a win or where there were situations he could've seized on to win. You can argue all day about the Redblacks talent or lack thereof, but they should be better than 2-13. A winning record team? No, but not as bad as this, and what I've seen come out of that team is a terrible reflection on Campbell. Like I've said before, I'm against having Burris at this stage in his career be their starter, but this head coach is really causing a stink to come up from the capital. Everyone can see it, and him being aloof is a bad thing for a new team.
  19. I like the idea, but damn do I hate to think of him ever playing for that certain nameless team in the yucky green.
  20. Make no mistake, Brohm did a great job going through his progressions and finding the right reads, but he lacks both the mobility and the arm strength that Marve brings to the table. And that was playing him on the fly with basically no prep. I'd like to think if he was given a full week to prepare for a start, he would be even better. But I fully expect Willy will be back next week and playing with a chip on his shoulder.
  21. For the record, and I've gotten into it with other fans myself, and I don't think losses for what they are should be sugar-coated, but people really need to be careful about calling coach supporters cool-aid drinkers or cheerleaders. I think what some believe is that if we're gonna build a team regardless of who's coaching, we gotta take our lumps in order to do that, doesn't matter who the coach is because that will happen. I also think when things go wrong, there are possible other solutions to fix them besides just a "fire everyone" approach, and this is what I think some of us are looking for.
  22. We don't lol, we're just saying .... GOOD RIDDANCE
  23. Willy had better watch his back with this Marve kid though, he's gonna be a big old stud in this league and I'm gonna go so far as to say right now that he is better than Mike Reilly.
  24. Grigsby should've been kicked out of here months ago. Cotton goes in today and when he gets his carries, this is what happens. Need we say more?
  25. I like what Brohm is doing with this offense so far and I'm happy we look a little better after that disaster last week. But I am getting upset that we took the ball out of Cotton's hands right after he ripped off that long run. If he's gashing the holes, keep feeding him that rock. And thank god we did get rid of Grigs, he was indeed the tumor
