Well, I can take comfort in the fact Rider nation is probably bitching away on RF about Bryant Turner Jr right now, and thanks to him, they have been eliminated from winning a Grey Cup this year.

Besides they would have to give up both Getzlaf and Bagg to get Burris, trust me, that's the only way Ottawa would negotiate with them, and I would laugh my ass off if that happened. Any way you diced It up, Ottawa would be robbing someone by trading Burris, but their GM is 1000x worse than Joe Mack and has an ego as big as British Columbia, so I say it won't happen. But I hope it does because Hank is a perfect fit for the Riders and will look good choking the life away in the playoffs lol.

Elliot isn't the QB you think he is. He isn't even 2nd on their depth chart. He wasn't put in for the series when Hank was forced to sit out for an injury. Maybe not 2nd but he is on the active roster. O'Brien came in I saw, and they let him throw what, 1 time? Not a bad thing to only throw one pass for him, buy why stick O'Brien in anyway? He's a rookie for god sakes, don't ruin him when he's in his Robert Marve stage, no no no, that's not how you do it. Obviously, Campbell or whoever doesn't think Elliot is ready to go yet, maybe since he's still learning the Ottawa playbook, but you gotta let him go out there and at least pull something. Burris has choked the life out of the O, he's as good as retired next year. The BS about that certain nameless QB who should be starting for Ottawa right now was the same thing, they all said he had a bad demeanor without having any living proof or fact on the matter, it was just hyperbole going around here with no concrete evidence. I sure am glad people who say this kind of thing don't get selected for jury duty.

Personally to be fair, when your starting QB is down and you get what is a pretty critical win, you can't blame them. That I think we all understand. I think what pissed people off including myself to attack the Rider fans was that clown who said Tino Sunseri is a future hall of famer. That's utter bullsh*t and whoever said that obviously didn't see the game where he got murdered by Hamilton last week. I mean look Justin Goltz won a game against the Riders last year, does that make him a hall of famer? Tanner Marsh put up an epic comeback against BC and won last year, does that make him a hall of famer? Point is bad QBs can win games sometimes in this league, just SOMEtimes. I don't see anything out of Sunseri that makes me think he's got a future beyond being a backup in this league. His arm is weak, and I'm talking Max Hall weak, and his decision making with pressure in his face is bad. In this league, you're gonna get pressure in your face and you damn well had better know where to go with that ball. He doesn't. He's ok for a backup, but he will NEVER be a starter. He is not even close to as good as Drew Willy, and anyone who thinks so knows nothing about football.

I don't really mind too much what our Rider friends here are saying, but they sure don't seem to understand how bad of a QB Hank Burris is. Maybe it is looking at it through the blue glasses, but I still feel that old bum is more responsible for the Riders winning than Sunseri.

My call as coach 1. Make Joey Elliot the starter in Ottawa for the rest of the season, let him showcase his talent. If he showcases his stuff, release him at the end of the year and he gets picked up. I believe he will go in Montreal this offseason and beat out Crompton for the starter job next year. 2. Force Hank to retire in the offseason and name Thomas Demarco the full time starter this offseason and hand the keys completely over to him. 3. Make a move to get John Bowman from the Als on the team to get beef on the defensive line. 4. If Ernest Jackson is a free agent after this year, sign him, or some one If there are WR free agents. 5. Cut Chevon Walker and offer a deal to us to get Carl Volny, since our coaching staff doesn't give him any carries.

Maybe not but he doesn't turtle under and play not to lose like old hank does. I've said it before and I'll say it again, DeMarco should be made full time starter next year, but he's out the rest of the year so that's a no go. Put in Elliot and see what he's got. Elliot's at least as good as Jonathan Crompton. Yup I said it, he's at least that good if not better.
