  1. Let's do something to stop this run. Load the box now and make them throw every down the rest of the game.
  2. I'm loving today. 2 Games on one screen in HD. The Bomber Banjo Bowl on one side, and the Fox Sports Go with the NFL games on the other. For those not in Canada, you can watch today's game on ESPN on TV. Should be able to find live feeds of it too on Vipbox.tv
  3. I live in the states and have a lot of exposure to new NCAA unis that come out for different colleges. Now obviously the Oregon Ducks colors are fine, those kinda tend to reflect the identity of the school and since their colors for quite a while have been green and yellow, most of the new sigs they come out with don't detract from the overall value. But I seen other schools go out and try to experiment with new colors in the unis and most of their fans hate it. I definitely know if the Green Bay Packers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Chicago Bears, Miami Dolphins, or Dallas Cowboys tried such a thing they would get about as negative a reaction as you could imagine. With the Seattle Seachickens, the Tennessee Titans, the 49ers, or even the Houston Texans, the reaction probably wouldn't be that negative. That being said, I actually like the Argos new sig unis when they're wearing the white away jerseys. Maybe that's partially due to some of the unis I've seen over the years with the UNC Tarheels and some of the old Houston/Tennessee Oiler jerseys, but to me those aren't a bad jersey. I think the Bombers could modify the ones they got and just put more gold in them as opposed to the blue camo they got. That imo, would fix some issues.
  4. What a strange comparison. No comparison at all, just sayin how unwatchable that game was that I switched off to watch them girls in the short shorts and legs to love, and boy am I glad I did.
  5. Can't believe a Rider fan just did a pbp for this whole $#** show. I basically caught the last minute of the 2nd half and switched the channel about 5 minutes into the 3rd. It is effin terrible when a football game is so bad that a Women's NCAA volleyball match is more exciting. i'll say I'm glad our offense has improved to at least being competent for the most part this year, other than 1 or 2 games, but I really wish the rest of this league would get it's act together and fix their offenses. Yeah I know, some teams like SSK are ones that you kinda wouldn't mind seeing struggle in that regard, but even there, bad offense is bad for league marketing. Really sucks that the lack of that cost the league a chance to capitalize on an NFL strike back in the 80s. I've seen better years so certainly I think the league can see a resurgence in this regard, but this has gotta get fixed before too long.
  6. These anemic CFL offensive showings are not going to help it at all with expanding television deals. Now I know this year is just one of those bad years that's lacked the explosiveness of the Als formerly led Calvillo offense, a rusty Lulay is just getting back in the game, and Bo Levi Mitchell is also newer so that you can understand, but this game really needs higher scoring games to get more money going. Not that don't appreciate good defense, but it's one thing when it's a defense that's scoring on great plays and impressing with punishing hits, another thing when offenses are completely ****ing the bed.
  7. It sucks they waited this long to bring Joey Elliot into town. They could use him on the field right now. They should have stuck with Glenn. They could have used the money saved on upgrading the rest of their offence. Lol. Glenn Well, he's no Joey Elliot but... But he's still the most unclutch QB in CFL history. Period. These East offenses are borderline unwatchable this year, cept for maybe Hamilton's once in a while. If this action doesn't pick up, I will switch the channel to one of my many NCAA sports channels, or the Fox Sports Networks.

  10. Sorry Dr, but I think this is a little more accurate.
  11. First off, why blame Millanovich for an Argos team that's been decimated by injuries? I mean they've rolled in how many backup WRs now? Craziness, on top of also losing Anthony Coombs. Gonna be interesting to see what they do with the RB situation next year though and if they're gonna keep Steele as a number 1 guy. But that being said, this is way off topic and this silly thread should be deleted as O'Shea did not in any way shape or form hand over the Labor Day Classic.
  12. Yup, even if the Riders do have Taj Smith, Dressler, Getzlaf, and Bagg, make Durant throw every drive and expose him to the pass rush. He may get some big plays but that also causes turnovers.
  13. Yup, would be a little crazy to rush a guy who's been out of football for a little while right back on the field. Get him worked in a few weeks, then play him.
  14. Just was thinking about this not long ago. Seems lately the recipe SSK wants to use to beat us is draws to Messam to pick up the yards on the drives, especially the game-winning ones. Now, probably to make their running game a non-factor, O is going to have to force them to play catchup in a deficit and make Durant have to throw the ball 80% of the time, but if it came to making sure Messam is not a factor, I say load the box on him or run blitz him even to make sure he can't even get going back there.
  15. Somewhat along the lines of what tracker said, that was what some fans were saying about Joey when he was here about not going along with Crowton's garbage system. If I recall right though, Crowton pretty much made it clear that Brink and Elliot both were getting shipped out with zero chance to even come back to training camp the next spring. Some of us who saw the boneheaded-ness of that called it out immediately, but for Joey Elliot that may have been the best thing that ever happened to him. Given what happened to all of our QBs of that year, Elliot could've also seen his playing days end thanks to the dumpster fire Burke and Crowton started. That being said, I don't by any means expect Elliot to tear it up on the Redblacks, nor do I think he'll be pressed into action, but I think bringing him in was the correct call. It's possible O'Brien could see limited action for them such as in garbage time or something this year, but you NEVER ever throw a young guy to the wolves before he's ready, you guys should know that from seeing damage happen to players like Goltz, so I definitely think bringing Elliot in was the right call. He may not have a future, and when DeMarco comes back next year could very well head back down south, but you might as well at least see what he's got and use it at this point with Burris on his way out and an offense that needs something to pump a little life in them.
  16. Crazy thing is I actually suggested they do this in another thread. Looks like Rick Campbell heard me.

  18. I don't think us "Fans" as a whole hate on O'Shea, this resurrection dude just showed up out of nowhere today and started this crap, and raved in the chat room from what I hear (I wasn't in there during the game). I think where some of this has come from though is an anti-play-not-to-lose mantra that's taken a hold of us fans here, something that did seem to be evident in the Lapolice and Burke eras, and I understand that, and yeah I don't think we should have any more of that either. But at the same time, you absolutely have to play smart football. There is a HUGE difference between playing not to lose and playing smart football, and I believe so far O'Shea's done a good job of calling smart football. Yeah there are times when you need to make some gutsy calls, but when you're a first year head coach rebuilding a team that's been driven into the ground by inept predecessors, calls like taking the points on at least an 80% chance the FG is made to take a sure lead, and giving your D a chance to win it for you, regardless of it they do or not, is better than damaging your team's confidence by taking a 50/50 gamble at that point and not converting. Think it was Mike Kelly who kept on taking those crazy gambles on 3rd down when he was here. Among other things he did wrong, that kind of craziness definitely killed the team's will to win when they didn't work, and hence why you gotta be gutsy sometimes, but within reason.
  19. Ehhh what a surprise, I knew this was coming, someone upset we didn't go for it on 3rd and 1. TBH, I wanted him to go for it too, but you always gotta play smart in this game to inspire confidence in a young team, especially one playing on the road, and when you got a clutch kicker like Hajrallahu, you let him kick and hope your defense can make a stop. Because ... 1. If you go for it but don't make the first, it looks even worse on O'Shea's part and even more people second guess him. 2. Even if you do make the first, I get a feeling we still don't score a TD on that play, and that's what maybe 40 seconds burned at the most down there? Still too much time for the Riders to score anyway. And even if you do make the TD, Defense still needs to make a stop, and we just didn't do that. But look on the bright side, this was the most competitive LDC game I've seen in a while, even if we did come up on the short end of the stick again. Let's romp em in the banjo bowl next week eh?
  20. All right folks, the original link over at http://bomberstreams.clan.su/ Should be working now, good week to get it up too Also, if you see some silly button that says, "Download" or some silly thing like that, DO NOT CLICK THAT. Wait for the red X to come and exit out of that. Or better yet, use Adblock Plus
  21. All I can say is all because MTL is in 2nd, Higgins's job is safe for now. I just gotta shake my head at this though.
  22. 2nd and 2 .... shoulda at least ran with Walker right?
  23. I really think you don't punt the ball regardless of down and distance when you're down by 10
  24. Well, now the Redblack offense shows up lol
  25. Crazy that 0-lineman got hurt and not Walker, Walker was buried under there and you'd figure he'd be the one getting the leg rolled up
