There is nothing wrong with Harris, but a big problem with how and how much we use him. He best let loose to the outside not forced up the middle where every single defensive player knows you run the ball. Maybe only Messam might work for that kind of game plan. Mr Dee 1
do or die Posted July 27, 2016 Report Posted July 27, 2016 Harris is a pretty good cutback runner.....all the more reason not to just slam him up into the A gaps, with a OL that can't drive block...... Floyd 1

Harris has been fantastic this year when used properly... even when not used properly, he has found ways to get some yards... Mr Dee and Tracker 2

The problem isnt with harris. How durp does one have to be to see a rb getting hit in the back field every other play to say hey that rb isnt good enough? Logan007 1
do or die Posted July 27, 2016 Report Posted July 27, 2016 Actually, Harris can get some yards after contact. The bad news, is where most of the contact takes place.....
17to85 Posted July 27, 2016 Report Posted July 27, 2016 Wally is cheap and probably figured he could get an american rb in for cheaper so why not change the ratio. Harris is a good player and you can see it when he gets the ball. He fights for yards and can get more after contact, but no back really excels when he's constantly having to make people miss in the backfield. pigseye and Tracker 2
TBURGESS Posted July 27, 2016 Report Posted July 27, 2016 Wally may be cheap, but he did make Harris a very good offer. We basically matched it and Harris came home. Harris is giving it everything he's got. He's breaking tackles and making people miss. The problem is, he's having to do that in the backfield too often. Tracker and pigseye 2
Floyd Posted July 27, 2016 Author Report Posted July 27, 2016 Wally wanted to change Harris into more of a blocking/utility back. Harris still thinks he can be an all-star so he left. And now he's a glorified blocking back in Winnipeg... go figure.
rebusrankin Posted July 27, 2016 Report Posted July 27, 2016 What percentage of our running plays are straight up the middle?
Floyd Posted July 27, 2016 Author Report Posted July 27, 2016 Mitchell Gale starting behind an absolute scrap OL with his REC featuring a Taman find and a bomber castoff... Please don't light it up. Just please.

Gotta stop making stuff up and claiming it as fact. Mr Dee, Tracker and Goalie 3
