sportmentary2012 Posted August 13, 2016 Report Posted August 13, 2016 Just when it's becoming fun to watch this team along comes the bye week to take away the momentum. The good news is the next 3 games are very winnable but are definite trap games with Montreal and Sask reeling. I'm enjoying the win streak that the team and all fans deserve after the past few seasons. My concern is that they can't keep up this pace and that one the defences figure out Nicols there will be trouble. I want to believe but they have to beat the likes of Hamilton with Collaros. Calgary and Ottawa before the rebuild is over. Agree or disagree??
Noeller Posted August 13, 2016 Report Posted August 13, 2016 My thought process was "Oh thank Christ we go into bye on a win, so at least we have a bonus week for the boards to not go to **** with people bitching over stupid **** and calling for The Trinity's heads on a platter..." ...But I see your point, too...... The Classic, Jacquie, Jaxon and 2 others 5
do or die Posted August 13, 2016 Report Posted August 13, 2016 Nah....lets get some more guys back (especially Dressler) and keep cruising....
sportmentary2012 Posted August 13, 2016 Author Report Posted August 13, 2016 I agree with both of you but I want to say the rebuild is over just can't do it yet and with Dressler and Denmark the opposing defences could look like Swiss cheese provided the o-line continues to improve !

wbbfan Posted August 13, 2016 Report Posted August 13, 2016 couldnt come at a better time for the team, soo many injuries hope fully we can get a couple guys back. But pretty tough time for fans lol. Doublezero 1
White Out Posted August 13, 2016 Report Posted August 13, 2016 When I first saw the schedule I kind of wished it was further into the season. I think the perfect time for a bye week in the CFL is with 3 or so game to be played after. Get a nice break late season to ramp up for the post season. But considering all the banged up players we have already... can't really complain.

I think every team gets two byes now that we're at nine teams, one team each week. Edited August 13, 2016 by O2L
Rich Posted August 13, 2016 Report Posted August 13, 2016 Our second bye is Week 18. O2L and wbbfan 2
White Out Posted August 13, 2016 Report Posted August 13, 2016 2 bye weeks now? Holy smokes. Ya, that's pretty good then. Very well timed bye weeks
sportmentary2012 Posted August 13, 2016 Author Report Posted August 13, 2016 Agreed they can use the bye week but they are on such a roll it'll be tough to not watch them play but this is a great position to be in and a win streak that I don't think any of us saw coming!
Eternal optimist Posted August 14, 2016 Report Posted August 14, 2016 Going into a bye week or not, I'll take any winning streak the Blue and Gold can get. IC Khari 1
Old Bomber Fan Posted August 16, 2016 Report Posted August 16, 2016 as MOS said on CJOB we haven't done anything to date we are where we started so from here on in let's see what side of the ledger we will be on, the winning or losing side. Hopefully some good decisions from the coaching staff are to follow. We will see.
bearpants Posted August 16, 2016 Report Posted August 16, 2016 why is it when other teams have a bye week before playing the Bombers they have extra time to get healthy and prepare... but when the bombers have a bye week it's a momentum killer and sure sign they'll come out flat and rusty?? O2L 1
Noeller Posted August 16, 2016 Report Posted August 16, 2016 hey there's no doubt it's a welcome bye week in the sick bay. We're getting some really important bodies back vs Montreal, hopefully. Should be Randle, Dressler and Johnny Adams, I believe...
Mark H. Posted August 16, 2016 Report Posted August 16, 2016 I'm not sure we need too worry to much about a defense figuring Nicholls out. Sure they have three games worth of film and some time to break it down, but he and the coaches also have time to tweak the attack.
Mr Dee Posted August 16, 2016 Report Posted August 16, 2016 (edited) Quote I'm not sure we need too worry to much about a defense figuring Nicholls out. If you think about it, it'll take 5 games to figure out Nichols as quarterback, and 20 games if Buck is involved. Edited August 16, 2016 by Mr Dee
