blueingreenland Posted August 16, 2016 Report Posted August 16, 2016 Happy Birthday Bob! I started cheering for the Bombers in 1972, when they had Don Jonas and Mack Herron; I believe that was also the first year Bob did play by play for us on CJOB!!
kelownabomberfan Posted August 16, 2016 Report Posted August 16, 2016 (edited) happy b-day Bob. You are legitimately the only bigger Bomber fan on this earth other than me, and you've been a huge part of my Bomber experience since 1977 when I went to my first Bomber game. You rock buddy. Happy B Day Bob, and I like the text option for questions into the coach's show by the way. (text your questions to 204-780-6868). Edited August 16, 2016 by WinnipegGordo Mark F 1
Fatty Liver Posted August 16, 2016 Report Posted August 16, 2016 Back in the days of black-outs (circa. early-mid 70's) it was common for many Bomber games to be un-televised both home and away. Living outside the city it was fortunate if I could attend 3-4 home games per year. Thus I spent a lot of time listening to Bob on CJOB and wish to thank him for every minute of it, he is the best. wbbfan and Mr Dee 2
Guest J5V Posted August 16, 2016 Report Posted August 16, 2016 I can watch on TSN but I have to listen on CJOB and that's because of you. Happy Birthday, Bob!
wbbfan Posted August 18, 2016 Report Posted August 18, 2016 class of the league as far as color guys goes. all my greatest bomber memories are narrated by knuckles.

They used to black us out all the time despite being out side of the black out area.

But since zalnasky left and ob was too cheap to bring any one on the road with him leaving random out of towners filling in hes been doing double duty. Hes allways been more of a vin scully type.
