The positives

So obviously our 1-8 team doesn't have a lot going for us, and it seems every discussion we have is about whats wrong(and theres obviously plenty) but I just want to discuss whats going right for the team this year. The things I currently see as positives are...

 

Alex Hall has been an absolute monster at DE

Our three top Canadian receivers; Watson, Kolhert and Etienne have all impressed, especially the development of the latter two.

The SAM linebacker spot actually seems to be an improvement over last year with Desia Dunn

Demon Washington playing better than Hefney did last year IMO.

Terrance Edwards playing better than he has in the last few years, hes really making tough catches and leaving it all out on the field this year.

Woods is a keeper if he can get healthy again.

Desia Dunn won't be, Kohlert and Washington may or may not depending on whether they signed for 2 or 3 years.

Watching Goltz play, love the TD celebration.  Good to see Timbo is focussing in the little things when there are huge problems all over this team, including coaching.  

 

Love the fact I have saved a pile of money not going to games.

I can't say for Watson, he hasn't played much.

And Terrance looks good when someone ACTUALLY THROWS TO HIM.

Only Hall used Terrance to the full extent.

I liked the way both Parker and Wild played at the one linebacker spot this year.

Hall is 5th in league in sacks since 2010 despite only playing a year and half.

Renaud leads the league in punting average.........it's more important to be clutch and come through when you have to, so far, we have not had that sort of performance from anyone, no positives at all yet but we are only half way through the season, I expect the cream will start to rise to the top in the second half.

We have the nicest stadium in the CFL. If it wasn't for IGF what a dismal season this would be. Makes the losing feel a little better. At least there's something to be proud of.
