Ducky Posted September 6, 2016 Report Posted September 6, 2016 Scheif is on McDavid's line playing RW. I will be watching as much as I can and will try not to miss any of Canada's or NA's games.
sweep the leg Posted September 6, 2016 Report Posted September 6, 2016 (edited) Laine is on Finland's top line. In other news, Finland is going to get stomped at this tournament. Edit: Stomped is strong. They just won't win. Edited September 8, 2016 by sweep the leg
Noeller Posted September 6, 2016 Report Posted September 6, 2016 I think I'm cheering for the young guns team more than Team Canada, but I'll follow both relatively closely. As much as I think this tourney is a stupid POS cash grab, I'm pretty hockey starved at this point of the year, so I'm looking forward to watching the games.. Blueballz 1
Atomic Posted September 6, 2016 Report Posted September 6, 2016 Team Canada is going to steamroll the whole tourney. Young guns team should be fun to watch, though.

They will have a decent top line and top 2 D but they don't have the depth. But you never know. Chemistry is funny and the Finns always seem to have it.
Blueballz Posted September 7, 2016 Report Posted September 7, 2016 Yup young guns team is going to be fun to watch. Only going to tune into the Finn games to see Laine. Should be fun to see how much McDavid elevates Sheifele's game.
Goalie Posted September 7, 2016 Report Posted September 7, 2016 I don't know how much I'll watch... very little to none probably but I'd say that Team North America is by far the most skilled and talented team overall. Their D is somewhat of an issue but... it wouldn't surprise me one bit to see Team NA steamroll tons of teams
FrostyWinnipeg Posted September 7, 2016 Report Posted September 7, 2016 I'm not really interested but wtf else is on. There's always that one big name guy who gets injured at these things.

Yeah, McDavid is the only guy on that roster who would have a chance to make Team Canada. Maybe Gaudreau, if he was Canadian... The Russians have more skill as well, they just seem to suck as a team. Noeller Posted September 7, 2016 Report Posted September 7, 2016 Eichel is twice the hockey player Gaudreau is.....**** that kid. Goalie 1
bustamente Posted September 7, 2016 Report Posted September 7, 2016 More interested in watching the Penticton Young Stars Tourney. Goalie 1

How many guys on the kids team do you think could crack the Canadian roster, assuming for this that they were all eligible? Edited September 8, 2016 by sweep the leg
Noeller Posted September 8, 2016 Report Posted September 8, 2016 My only point is that Eichel is a way better hockey player than Gaudreau, which is true, but they are both American, so they can both go **** themselves. FrostyWinnipeg and bigg jay 2
sweep the leg Posted September 9, 2016 Report Posted September 9, 2016 Holy moly is there ever a huge speed difference between Team NA & Team Europe. Noeller 1
Noeller Posted September 9, 2016 Report Posted September 9, 2016 (edited) I can't figure out how McJesus handles the puck that we'll while skating that fast. He's not even human.... Edited September 9, 2016 by Noeller

Noeller Posted September 9, 2016 Report Posted September 9, 2016 Edited for shitty typing on my phone. Tho, it's Edmonton.... Funny things happen...
Goalie Posted September 9, 2016 Report Posted September 9, 2016 That entire NA team has tons of speed and talent. They are gonna do some damage.

They'll be the most exciting team for sure. Their gameplan seems to be balls to the wall for the entire sixty minutes. What will be interesting is how they do when they play a team that can counter that aggressiveness. They made mistakes that the European team wasn't good enough to capitalize on. Also, I felt a little sad watching Chara look so bad out there. The guys a hall of famer, but he's pretty much done now.
Atomic Posted September 9, 2016 Report Posted September 9, 2016 Gaudreau and Mackinnon were the best players on the ice last night Ducky 1
kelownabomberfan Posted September 9, 2016 Report Posted September 9, 2016 Schief and McDavid playing together - I hope that's a combo we see at the Olympics for years to come.
