James Posted September 10, 2016 Report Posted September 10, 2016 I'm not sure who is better between smith or Denmark as a reciever.. but smith really lays his body on the line and goes all out in blocking... he may be short but he's a strong tough little gaffer Tracker 1
IC Khari Posted September 11, 2016 Report Posted September 11, 2016 He seems to get hurt a lot as well, alright ... back to Winnipeg, I mean Denmark
Goalie Posted September 13, 2016 Report Posted September 13, 2016 (edited) I'd consider mayo over Denmark but depending on Harris and the ratio.... perhaps JFG gets a start cuz I'd imagine if Harris can't go... Flanders will. Edited September 13, 2016 by Goalie
17to85 Posted September 13, 2016 Report Posted September 13, 2016 I get that Sheppard does well at other aspects of the game but man I can't understand why he plays and Mayo doesn't. Is the primary job of a receiver not to get open and catch the ball? Seems to me that Mayo is better at that then Sheppard.

do or die Posted September 13, 2016 Report Posted September 13, 2016 We need more than a couple of guys to catch passes, each game...

I suppose the logical answer is that his receiving skills aren't enough of an upgrade on Sheppard to make up for Sheppard's advantage in blocking and st's play.
do or die Posted September 13, 2016 Report Posted September 13, 2016 ...or D and ST can take plenty of credit for that. But, yeah...without Sheppard....not a lot of physicality in that R corps
wookie Posted September 13, 2016 Report Posted September 13, 2016 so who is taking first team reps today in place of smith, anyone know

Some thing we dont have much of at wr. Id like denmark to be on the roster but i guess its a good problem to have.
Brandon Posted September 13, 2016 Report Posted September 13, 2016 Maybe the Blue can trade a 5th round pick and get Nik Lewis from Montreal? Big physical presence and veteran "leadership".

Jaxon Posted September 13, 2016 Report Posted September 13, 2016 From the "In Case You Missed It" thread: Quote " Herb Zurkowsky Montreal Gazette-Nik Lewis understood change was in the air. He just didn’t think it would be Kevin Glenn, the Alouettes’ starting quarterback.“It’s the wrong change. I’ve told them what I thought about the change,” a defiant Lewis said following Wednesday’s practice at Stade Hébert. “I don’t like it, but they pay me to play, and that’s what I’m going to do. They don’t pay me to like things.”
Noeller Posted September 13, 2016 Report Posted September 13, 2016 Lawless tweeted out something today about how the Als might be having a fire sale right away. They're going to be cutting ties with expensive vets and using their younger, cheaper players to both get an idea what they have and also to shed some salary...
rebusrankin Posted September 13, 2016 Report Posted September 13, 2016 I like Lewis but is it worth replacing Sheppard with him?

ddanger Posted September 13, 2016 Report Posted September 13, 2016 If we could get Lewis for a Grey Cup push that would be tremendous. A huge possession receiver who could possibly argue with that?

Goalie Posted September 14, 2016 Report Posted September 14, 2016 I know he's a ****** but I'd take carter over Lewis any day at this point.

No. A big tank like Lewis would be a big help. We've got speed guys, but he's half RB and is great on screens etc. We don't need Carter.
