Chances are he'd be loyal to us, but if he walks to another team this could be a blow up of epic proportions lol Nichols isn't the future Bigblue204 and Noeller 2

Noeller Posted September 12, 2016 Report Posted September 12, 2016 we're running two quality back-up QBs right now and hoping for the best.....I'm not totally averse to it, for this year. wbbfan, Blue-urns and SPuDS 3

We need to plug up the middle and make him turn his shoulders. He's maybe the worst sideline to sideline rb in the league.

SPuDS Posted September 12, 2016 Report Posted September 12, 2016 (edited) A) colour me stunned that JV5 sees this as a bad thing.. shocked! Shocked I say! Lol... B ) if you don't see this as a huge win for us and Walters, you are deliberately looking for negatives. I hate Glenn. It's well known and documented.. that said, he is one of the best backups in the league. cheaper then Willy and I'd honestly trust him over Willy at this point. we CAN win with Glenn if push comes to shove.. Willy is still an unknown. adding one very good DB to the mix of our current crop is not a bad thing.. never have too much depth in the cfl where injuries happen daily. Plus 1 first rounder and a 3rd rounder?? great deal by Walters and nobody here can tell me that Glenn isn't at LEAST as good as Willy.. Minimum. they are a wash and we got lots of assets back.. also my quoting is broken :( Edited September 12, 2016 by SPuDS blitzmore, Taynted_Fayth and Al Bundy 3

Although they've improved drastically since we last saw the Stamps. Where is Muamba theses days? Was he trying out with NFL teams?
kelownabomberfan Posted September 12, 2016 Report Posted September 12, 2016 I am curious as to the whereabouts of Bilukudi, Mulumba and Muamba.
Fatty Liver Posted September 12, 2016 Report Posted September 12, 2016 Just curious, in all of his stops has Glenn ever played under LaPo before? I like Glenn, he may not be able to finish off the job effectively but he can be a positive influence and help get the O working better than it has. Blue-urns 1

Nope kelly cut him for lefors prior to the last lapo run here
Tracker Posted September 12, 2016 Report Posted September 12, 2016 Good on Walters. Willy's presence was a distraction and this is good proof that the team did not see any future for him here. Willy did his best , but it was good enough for a little while, but not long enough. I wish him luck in Toronto, and he certainly won't be bothered much by media there. The DB we picked up is a bit of a puzzlement, but perhaps there is more to come. We need a lethal MLB unless Burnett is it, and a dominant wide receiver. We get those, we goin' to the Cup.
Blueandgold Posted September 12, 2016 Report Posted September 12, 2016 Huge trade. I love it, that's a fantastic haul. I wonder if this also frees up some money to sign an impact player like Henoc or Grymes(just theoretically not that we need Grymes).
trueBlue83 Posted September 12, 2016 Report Posted September 12, 2016 I wonder if texting in this request to the fan helpline pushed them to the brink!?
Eternal optimist Posted September 12, 2016 Report Posted September 12, 2016 Does anyone else feel the Bombers did this just so our D can beat the crap out of Willy come Friday? Is he projected to start? Oh the humanity...
The Unknown Poster Posted September 12, 2016 Report Posted September 12, 2016 Wow. I'm surprised. I figured he'd get a shot here again. But management has its reasons and probably more than just confidence in Nichols. Intereting that Nichols is now the bonafide starter without a big ticket QB looking over his shoulder. Always liked Glenn. He was unceremoniously run out of town very disrespectfully. He took us to a Grey Cup game. Glad to see him back have a feeling Lapo had a say in this. Willy has all the tools but just doesn't fire the ball fast enough. So is it Heath vs Willy next week? Super Duper Negatron, Dragon37 and Brandon 3
fosey58 Posted September 12, 2016 Report Posted September 12, 2016 Was never a Willy fan, but wish him well in TO. Glenn is a serviceable back up and IMO you can never have enough talent at any position so Heath is a great addition. Draft picks are always valuable. Great trades all around. Dragon37 1
The Unknown Poster Posted September 12, 2016 Report Posted September 12, 2016 Admission of major mistake though. Sign a guy to a massive contract and trade him Let's hope this doesn't bite us.
RagingIce Posted September 12, 2016 Report Posted September 12, 2016 Love this move. KG is leagues ahead of where Willy has been this season. I'm not convinced that Nichols isn't the future (at least the next 3-5 years). Brandon 1
Eternal optimist Posted September 12, 2016 Report Posted September 12, 2016 Does this mean the pick-6 Glenn threw to Moe Leggett in our win over Montreal a few weeks ago is now a touchdown pass? Tracker, comedygeek, rebusrankin and 3 others 6
