Noeller Posted October 11, 2016 Report Posted October 11, 2016 No question, Nichols was in consideration for that job, but had serious injury problems. Turns out Reilly *was* the better QB all along, but at that time, it was considered even odds... MOBomberFan 1

Nice to see a guy put the bad luck behind him. I seem to recall that back before his leg injuries, Nichols had some serious wheels on him, he could get downfield in a hurry. That competition was a farce, Mike Reilly was Hervey's guy(rightfully so in hindsight) and was always going to get that job regardless of how Nichols played. Tracker 1
johnzo Posted October 12, 2016 Report Posted October 12, 2016 (edited) Just getting to rewatch the game now and my HH goes to D for the convoy they set up for Leggett on his first quarter pick. On that single play, he gets great blocks from Randle, Burnett, Loffler, Heath, Westerman, Cole, and Shologan. Just love watching this team rally. Our guys know how to flip from D to O in a hummingbird heartbeat, we're getting lots of practice running those picks back. Edited October 12, 2016 by johnzo Tracker and Mr Dee 2
