The Unknown Poster Posted October 21, 2016 Report Posted October 21, 2016 Make sure, for both games, you extend your PVR recordings as the plan for rain is to delay as long as possible, especially Sunday's game. Worst case scenario they will play Sunday's game on Monday. Weather looks good though. Saturday now has a slight chance of rain in the afternoon, with rain in the evening. Game should be over. Sunday is partly sunny. Should be beautiful.
The Unknown Poster Posted October 21, 2016 Report Posted October 21, 2016 https://twitter.com/jimtothsports/status/789512065861857280 pacled house for practice! and what the heck is wrong with embeds?

I still dont get why the NHL doesnt "officially" merge Jets 1.0 history with Jets 2.0. Would make all the sense in the world.
IC Khari Posted October 22, 2016 Report Posted October 22, 2016 Looking forward to the old fat white guys game ...

iHeart Posted October 22, 2016 Report Posted October 22, 2016 well this will be an interesting game, sure this one won't really count but it's nice to see Teemu in a Jets Jersey again for the first time in 20 years The Unknown Poster 1
iHeart Posted October 22, 2016 Report Posted October 22, 2016 (edited) might as well post here since Frosty isn't going to watch because he says he's seen the 80s Oilers beat the Jets enough times to last a life time. Can't wait to hear the chants though Edited October 22, 2016 by iHeart
iHeart Posted October 22, 2016 Report Posted October 22, 2016 (edited) and guess who scored first, hint it wasn't Gretzky, and it rhymes with teen mood salami Edited October 22, 2016 by iHeart

Considering our alumni team are alumni of another organization and when records are mentioned all anyone wants to discuss is the coyotes record. I guess when I say it makes sense it's from that perspective. Common sense.
iHeart Posted October 22, 2016 Report Posted October 22, 2016 now how many times were Jets 1.0 able to easily beat the Oilers when they were in the NHL?
Goalie Posted October 22, 2016 Report Posted October 22, 2016 Honoring the WHA and 80s is fine. Honoring the 90s is interesting. Ya Arizona should just give us back our history but... I get why they haven't
Goalie Posted October 22, 2016 Report Posted October 22, 2016 Oh and the alumni game was hugely scripted lol. Jets win tho.
RagingIce Posted October 22, 2016 Report Posted October 22, 2016 That game was really fun. I genuinely enjoyed myself
The Unknown Poster Posted October 22, 2016 Report Posted October 22, 2016 It was great. Not sure how scripted it was with goalies making great saves. But whatever. Why did Wayne take off so quick and not partake in the group photo?
HardCoreBlue Posted October 22, 2016 Report Posted October 22, 2016 Morris Lukowich looked in great shape, holy cow. Brandon 1
bustamente Posted October 22, 2016 Report Posted October 22, 2016 That was a lot of fun, probably wont see those lineup's again from both teams ever again.
Goalie Posted October 22, 2016 Report Posted October 22, 2016 Teemu being tripped for a penalty shot with 3 seconds left was definitely scripted

Kind of weird actually.

SpeedFlex27 Posted October 23, 2016 Report Posted October 23, 2016 Kris King looked in great shape as well. Has Tikkanen put on the pounds. I felt sorry for Mike Ford & Willy Lindstrom. Only Ford & Lindstrom played in the WHA with Bobby Hull. It would have been great to get their takes on the game & playing here 40 years ago when it all started. Didn't even talk to either of them. Nice to see Eddie Olcyzk & Numannin back as Jets. It was exciting to see all these all those great players.

I loved the old school goaltending. The 2 pad stack. Staying up on their skates rather than doing a butterfly on their knees & sliding across the crease. Ranford on his back with the puck underneath him. Great to watch.
Goalie Posted October 23, 2016 Report Posted October 23, 2016 Really fun game to watch. Really cool. Bunch of guys who couldn't play due to injury like fuhr McSorley and many others also in town. Cool to see Walter Gretzky also in the stands. Massive 50 50... winner took him 160 K.
IC Khari Posted October 23, 2016 Report Posted October 23, 2016 (edited) The Jets need to sign Selanne and Hawerchuck right now! Also if Teppo is available ... Edited October 23, 2016 by IC Khari
