Not the Raptors trade news I expected to hear today but okay

I'm not sure why not, Powell and Lowry have been linked for weeks in trade talks. Both are on expiring contracts.

Lowry will come soon too, I believe.

well it's a different league so I guess we shouldn't expect the name Cyclones to be shopped around

Gonna have to rename this to "The NBA / Raptors / Sea Bears Thread"

The Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) introduced the Winnipeg Sea Bears as its newest member during a Wednesday news conference at Canada Life Centre, the team’s home arena when it begins play with the 2023 season. The CEBL welcomed Winnipeg businessman and lawyer David Asper as the team’s owner.

Asper :o

So I'm guessing CJOB will be the radio home for the sea bears? I mean asper is involved and Global owns CJOB now

Global isn't owned by an asper. Its owned by corus entertainment which is 80 percent owned by JR Shaw.

Aspers got nothing to do with Global.. at all.

I don't know which is crazier. The name of the team or that comment. Leonard Asper stepped down as President & CEO of Canwest Global in 2010.
