And then you're over the cap next year if you're the Pens... Carolina has a ton of young D that they are shopping... Anaheim has extra D... If you can get Enstrom for a late 2nd or 3rd round pick, maybe...

Tony Fresco Posted February 18, 2017 Report Posted February 18, 2017 Is it me or have the Jets been playing much better defensively since Enstrom has been out of the lineup? Floyd 1

The Unknown Poster Posted February 18, 2017 Report Posted February 18, 2017 Playing better since they stopped with the Pavs nonsense. Goalie, bustamente and Judd 3

The reason why Pav was brought up.

Garret Hohl over at Jets Nation was pondering the same thing. The fancy stats say that it is not the case, but I prefer to rely on the eye test and anecdotal evidence. http://jetsnation.ca/2017/2/20/by-the-numbers-jets-record-with-enstrom-doesn-t-have-much-to-do-with-enstrom?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook

Enstrom 'was' under-rated and good but this year and last year, he's being put in situations that he can't handle.
bustamente Posted February 21, 2017 Report Posted February 21, 2017 Enstroms days as a top 4 d-man are fading but as a 5-6 he is more than capable for a few more years. Goalie and Floyd 2
FrostyWinnipeg Posted February 21, 2017 Report Posted February 21, 2017 (edited) They've been playing better IMHO because they've been hitting again. With bonus points to a better Helle. Edited February 21, 2017 by FrostyWinnipeg
FrostyWinnipeg Posted March 6, 2017 Report Posted March 6, 2017 Winnipeg Jets head coach Paul Maurice confirmed goalie Ondrej Pavelec underwent a scope on his knee Monday. Maurice added that recovery time for this type of procedure is usually 2-3 weeks for a player but could be longer for a goalie. Goalie won the Pavelec lottery with this news. The Unknown Poster 1
bustamente Posted March 6, 2017 Report Posted March 6, 2017 ................and Pavelecs career as a Jet dies with a whimper.
iHeart Posted March 10, 2017 Author Report Posted March 10, 2017 and Toby is essentially done for the season
iHeart Posted March 12, 2017 Author Report Posted March 12, 2017 And Trouba is injured likely because of the fight last night, which kind of begs the question that I won't turn into a thread but.....is Trouba becoming a goon?
The Unknown Poster Posted March 12, 2017 Report Posted March 12, 2017 it just shows how stupid fighting is in the first place. In two games our "fighter" fought a fight that meant nothing and our captain and our best D man fought.

The Unknown Poster Posted March 18, 2017 Report Posted March 18, 2017 The time of year when guys with potentially playable injuries get shut down for surgery and rehab so they can be ready for next season.
FrostyWinnipeg Posted March 28, 2017 Report Posted March 28, 2017 Paul Maurice said a decision would be made about whether surgery is required for Paul Postma (lower body) in the next few days. Oh what the hell Paul, give him the surgery! JCon 1
