No kidding, the old site was bad but this version is visually atrocious.

Hopefully this time they have the good sense to sell some ad space on the site.

Their new site is reporting that Justin Cox, one of their up and comers, has been charged with assault causing bodily harm today...Does this stuff ever end for these yokels over there

Not even in the same stratosphere offence wise, but the Bombers got rid of several of their best player in their prime in the early and late 70's (Mack Herron, and Bernie Ruoff) for drug possession.

If the allegations are true, Cox is a piece of human garbage and doesn't belong in the league. I don't care what team he plays for and hardly hold the team accountable unless they're enabling him. In the past, players would kept on the roster much longer. All teams give players second chances (Riders signing him after incident in Kansas City) but that should be it.

Sucks for them but that's what happens when you're willing to sign anyone and everyone regardless of their background. Sometimes the best defensive back you have decides to go and choke his girlfriend unconscious on a Saturday in April and all of a sudden you've got a massive hole in your starting lineup.

as for Justin Cox? **** him. Human garbage.

Fans forget too soon that the reason some of these talented players aren't playing pro ball somewhere before signing with their team is their off field behavior.  These Lombardi quotes on commitment and character ... enough said ...

Quote

Commitment
“Winning is not a sometime thing, it is an all the time thing. You don’t do things right once in a while…you do them right all the time.”
“Unless a man believes in himself and makes a total commitment to his career and puts everything he has into it – his mind, his body, his heart – what’s life worth to him?”
“Once a man has made a commitment to a way of life, he puts the greatest strength in the world behind him. It’s something we call heart power. Once a man has made this commitment, nothing will stop him short of success.”
“The quality of a person’s life is in direct proportion to their commitment to excellence, regardless of their chosen field of endeavor.”
“It’s not whether you get knocked down, it’s whether you get up.”
“I would say that the quality of each man’s life is the full measure of that man’s commitment of excellence and victory – whether it be football, whether it be business, whether it be politics or government or what have you.”

Really makes the focus on high character guys look even better. Wont lie, im heavily skewed towards talent over character. It can be easy to throw the baby out with the bath water. Plus some times guys need a 2nd chance, or a better situation.

Guys like this though gotta be pushed out of pro sports. If he was suspended indefinitely by the league itd be a good start.  It makes me sad to see good talent wasted on bad people.

I hope not, considering one the first threads started was titled "Are the bombers still a dumpster fire?"
