That's a quote from Moon, not Trump.

I think that was his point... I believe TUP was refering to :

Quote

Whereas normal people defer to others.

As in, most people would be publically humble and defer to others. Trump needs his ego massaged, world leaders see this and deal with him accordingly.

Trump is Anthony Fremont and the rest of the world leaders are the townsfolk.  If you need to brush up on your TZ:

I got no skin in the game- so IDK what you are talking about. Not a fan of trump- but that is because he is a terrible human.

I don't understand why his past record (as heinous as they are) should take away the fact that he came out of his hermit kingdom, starting to talk about halting nuke program (even if his test site is already collapsing and can't be used), reaching out to other countries and deterring a orange-tinged nuke-wielding dotard? WHy does trump get all the praise for what KJU is doing? Cuz he's threatening nuclear war on twitter?

Because KJU was the one threatening nuclear war (through carefully produced propaganda videos rather than off-the-cuff tweets) until Trump came along and wielded his influence.  Because China was ignoring the sanctions they were supposed to be imposing on NK until Trump came along and forced their hand.

Acting like this is some altruistic, unilateral change of heart by KJU is just willful ignorance.  And to claim you have "no skin in the game" when you've been one of the fiercest left-wing nuts on this forum for months is quite the laugh.

I had a similar question and exact type feeling, not snide.

Ideally, knowing this person isn't real, how would an apolitical, non-biased, non-ideological, critical thinking person describe how the United States is doing?

I won't pretend to be that guy, because I'm not.  But I'm sure one of our liberal friends here would love to pretend they can give an objective, unbiased take on this.

Seems like it could be a case of North & South Korea legitimately believing that Trump and some members of his team, specifically Bolton, are crazy enough to start bombing the North, so they both worked harder to get their **** sorted out. I think NK knew prior administrations would never actually attack, so they were more or less free to do as they pleased.

Trump appears to have out-crazied him.

My point is a lot of us realize we are not that guy but try to answer the question of how is the United States currently doing from that position.

Difficult exercise.

I totally agree.  His methods may be debatable but the results are not.  It worked.

It's a huge question with many facets.  How is the U.S. doing in what way?  Economically?  Socially?  Internationally?  Militarily?  Someone whose primary concern is the economy would say the US is doing quite well.  Someone whose primary concern is how the US is viewed by the United Nations, might have a very different opinion.  "How well a country is doing" is difficult to quantify.

Hence the importance of qualitative approaches blended with quantitative.

Honestly, being critical of someone praising KJU is fair but to then suggest that person is biased in favour of someone (not mentioned) is rich if you’re praising trump

I see nothinf trump has done to impact North Korea actions. Unless you think trumps vocalizing his willingness to wipe NK off the map scared NK back to the table. And I don’t think that’s the case.

It could be. But I don’t think so.

It’s timing and efforts of SK.  NK got to the point in their nuke program where they have something to negotiate with. And only trump thinks you can actually annihilate NK. No one else does.

With Trumps threats insults and bluster and SK’s willingness to engage in meaningful dialogue I think it’s only fair to assume the matter had the greater impact.

Its also possible KJU feels a kinship to Trump and the idea of a face to face meeting strokes his ego bigly.

Rehardless no one is more congratulatory to trump than trump. But even if he brought peace to every corner of the world it’s not an excuse for his bad acts, currently under investigation.

That feeling when you hate someone so much you'd rather see them fail horribly than achieve world peace.

See my earlier comment about Dems wanting to see the country burn rather than be successful.  Sums it up quite nicely.

Then clearly you aren't paying attention.  Trump forced China to start respecting the economic sanctions against NK.  That's what this is really all about.  Try actually following the news and not just what some porn star says Trump did in his hotel room.  TMZ isn't the best source for international news, ya know?

So you’d be fine with him committing crimes as long as he’s your pick for president?  That’s what you’re saying.

This is hilarious. He literally works like three hours a day and not every day. Spends more time as golf clubs than the shire house. And he’s now claiming he’s too busy to answer questions in a serious criminal investigation.

What happened to his burning desire to be interviewed by Mueller?

he really believes this. That since he’s president he’s above the law.

Was in reference to "But to each their own!  Its all about getting "your guy" in office, I guess!" - so no- I don't have any skin in the game.

I can do without the personal attacks, please keep it classy.

As for defending KJU- I forgot to use my sarcastica font. I was only pointing out, the fact it seems so kooky to defend a deplorable human.

Did atomic join the trump admin recently? Really weird behaviour.

I like the new trump strategy though. Basically sure he fired Comey to obstruct justice but he’s allowed to fire him for any reason.

I think he's tired of the Dems and the liberal snowflakes, and the SJW. I agree with him as far as those that would rather see trump fail then to see the nation do well. Unfortunately, I don't see trump as someone that will make anything better, unless it benefits trump. (accidentally doing something good, doesn't count).

I just find it funny that Democrats celebrate the fact that Obama got a Nobel peace prize for doing literally nothing while Trump had a big part in warming relations between SK and NK and Dems can't spin fast enough to try to turn it into a negative.

That's an obvious win for me.  Thanks.

It’s an abject failure I’d you really think that. It was me replying to an absurd attempt by you to insult me with a tongue in cheek response rather then simply ridicule your silly and irrelevant post.

The strategy of meeting facts with attacks is becoming all too common among the trumpologists, sadly.

Do you still think Sessions, Rod & Mueller are Dems that hate trump? Lol

Whataboutism is the laziest way to deflect from your guys’ failings.

I’m a Con who thought Obama’s peace prize was laughable. It’s also entirely irrelevant to Trump.

No and I never did.  They're old school Republicans who hate Trump.  Even worse than Dems.

What did the president know and when did he know it

Less than a month ago Sandeds says “I talked to trump and there is no knowledge of a payment”

today she says “can’t comment on legal issues.  Talk to Rudy”.

Zero legitimacy. They’re not even pretending they aren’t lying. They are openly lying. I wish we could fast forward to the inevitable film/series!

also if trumps position is that there is an NDA wouldn’t his statements that Stormy is lying about an affair shatter that NDA and let stormy off the hook?  At the very least it must help serve the defamation lawsuit since he’s publicly calling her a liar.

Another new strategy. Sure he probably did it but you can’t get him cause he’s president!  Too bad they are very likely wrong (but the Supreme Court battle over it should be interesting)

Rudy also admitted trump obstructed. He said he fired Comey because he was a subject in an investigation. Sorry pal, that’s obstruction.  These guys have balls. But....
