Wanna-B-Fanboy
Well... this is kind of big news... https://www.justice.gov/usao-sdny/pr/bank-ceo-stephen-m-calk-charged-corruptly-soliciting-presidential-administration Quote Ms. Strauss said: “As alleged, Stephen M. Calk abused the power entrusted to him as the top official of a federally insured bank by approving millions of dollars in high-risk loans in an effort to secure a personal benefit, namely an appointment as Secretary of the Army or another similarly high-level position in the incoming presidential administration. Calk’s alleged attempt to obtain such an appointment was unsuccessful, and the loans he approved were ultimately downgraded by the bank’s primary regulator. Thanks to the outstanding work of the FBI and FDIC OIG, Calk’s alleged corrupt scheme has now resulted in a federal criminal charge.” Interestingly- Paul Manafort was the point man on this. Securing 16million dollars in loans in exchange for a plum WH admin job. Edited May 23, 2019 by wanna-b-fanboy

Quote Sears Holdings has sued former CEO Eddie Lampert and his hedge fund investors, including Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin. Sears Holdings alleges they looted the retailer of more than $2 billion in assets through five fraudulent transactions. The lawsuit was filed by Sears’ bankruptcy restructuring team on behalf of its unsecured creditors, who claim Lampert, his ESL hedge fund, and other “culpable shareholders” siphoned off most of the value of such assets as the Lands’ End brand and Orchard hardware stores for themselves. The asset transfers “were part of a single, years-long strategy of stripping out Sears’ most valuable assets for the benefit of Lampert, the ESL defendants, and Sears’ other shareholders, to the great detriment of the company and its creditors,” the complaint alleges. According to the suit, the scheme was “aided and abetted” by four directors, including Mnuchin. Mnuchin was a college roommate of Lampert’s at Yale University and approved some or all of the transactions. https://www.cfo.com/fraud/2019/04/sears-accuses-ex-ceo-of-looting-2b-in-assets/ Wilbur Ross, another Trump cabinet person. https://www.vox.com/2018/6/20/17479170/wilbur-ross-corruption Edited May 23, 2019 by Mark F

I thought it was ******* crazy that the CEo of Sears- Eddie Lampert, Sells all of sears land... to Himself, at a very favourable price (favourable to him of course) then rents out that land to... Sears at a rate that Eddie Lampert sets... then take the money "Sears" made from the sale and buys back stock to inflate the stock prices and enriching the share holders, which he is one and getting a sweet assed bonus in the tune of millions for work well done... meanwhile, Sears is driven into the ground and goes bankrupt, while the works are laid off and employees pensions are taken away... if this is not criminal- then seriously, what the **** is? In the US this is much more serious: Quote 1995-03-03 04:00:00 PDT CALIFORNIA -- TORRANCE - A man who stole a piece of pizza last summer has been sentenced to 25 years to life in prison, sparking renewed debate over the state's tough "three strikes" sentencing law. Jerry Dewayne Williams, 27, of Los Angeles was convicted of felony petty theft in January for taking a slice of pepperoni pizza from a group of children, ages 7 to 14, eating at Adam's Pizza on the Redondo Beach pier on July 30. Superior Court Judge Donald Pitts imposed the stiff sentence on Williams, who had four previous felony convictions, after rejecting his attorney's argument that the punishment did not fit the crime. Kind of self serving... two of those justices wouldn't be on the SCOTUS bench if it weren't for gerrymandering. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.” i. Why did you make that request of Russia, as opposed to any other country, entity, or individual? ii. In advance of making that statement, what discussions, if any, did you have with anyone else about the substance of the statement? iii. Were you told at any time before or after you made that statement that Russia was attempting to infiltrate or hack computer systems or email accounts of Hillary Clinton or her campaign? If yes, describe who provided this information, when, and what you were told. Response to Question II, Part (d) I made the statement quoted in Question II (d) in jest and sarcastically, as was apparent to any objective observer. The context of the statement is evident in the full reading or viewing of the July 27, 2016 press conference, and I refer you to the publicly available transcript and video of that press conference. I do not recall having any discussion about the substance of the statement in advance of the press conference. Mark F
Quote A Florida state representative told a group that God told him to a rewrite an abortion bill without exceptions for rape or incest. In a speech given to Women for Responsible Legislation group in Pensacola, Florida, state representative Mike Hill said God spoke directly to him about a restrictive abortion bill he had previously tried and failed to pass in Florida’s legislature. "As plain as day, God spoke to me,” Mr Hill, a Republican, told the group. “He said 'that wasn't my bill,' talking about the heartbeat detection bill that I filed. He said 'that wasn't my bill.'" “I knew immediately what he was talking about,” the state representative confirmed. "[God] said, 'you remove those exceptions and you file it again.' And I said 'yes Lord, I will'," Mr Hill said. "It's coming back. It's coming back. We are going to file that bill without any exceptions, just like what we saw passed in Alabama." https://www.yahoo.com/news/florida-state-representative-says-god-222659087.html

Mark F
Republicans/Trump are now all out threatening the FBI, CIA. etc. Republicans are full steam ahead while playing a weak hand, with an unpopular leader. Using every nasty dirty questionably legal trick and inventing some new ones. Polite conventions, and fraternal rules, the system of government, basic honesty, none of those things mean anything to them. Democratic party thinks that Nancy Pelosi is smarter with words than Trump, and that's all they need to do. Nobody cares about her little war of words. She's winning that battle and losing the war. She/they are effrectively doing nothing, and hoping that some Judge somewhere will do their job for them. They are looking like a bunch of weaklings that run around yelling, and do nothing in the face of the assault. Usual weak crap from that bunch. Time to get off their ass and save their country. It's getting serious. Edited May 26, 2019 by Mark F AtlanticRiderFan and Fatty Liver
