bustamente Posted December 1, 2018 Report Posted December 1, 2018 So Cohen is now cooperating with the NY AG about the Trump foundation, the new year fireworks are going to be the best ever
Mark F Posted December 2, 2018 Report Posted December 2, 2018 Trump signs new NAFTA agreement, a few hours later says if it isn't passed immediately, he'll just withdraw from NAFTA completely.
TrueBlue4ever Posted December 4, 2018 Report Posted December 4, 2018 Mueller will be filing materials in court related to Michael Flynn's convictions today, and materials related to Paul Manafort's backing out of the plea agreement on Friday. If the news is half as juicy as CNN wants it to be, there should be some real heat on Trump. Open question - Which scenario (should any of these come to pass) would be toughest for Trump's ego to take, (a) proof that he is fully involved in the Russian collusion in rigging the 2016 election (thereby outing him as a definitive liar on the one drum he has kept pounding throughout this whole mess), (b) that he has done so as part of a Russian blackmail scheme because of compromising info the Russians have on him (a.k.a. "pee pee tape") (which would display how the self-proclaimed "deal maker" has been played, outsmarted, and controlled by others - in the words of Hillary Clinton, "a puppet", not to mention the embarrassment of the tape, if he is capable of embarrassment) ,(c) no collusion but full exposure of his business dealings and use of the Presidency to line his own pockets via corrupt dealings that undermined the security and stability of the country while shining a bright light on his shady business practices, or (d) that all of this happened around him without his knowledge at all, exonerating him legally but exposing him as a clueless patsy who is the dumbest guy in the room being manipulated by the very "swamp" he promised to run out of Washington?

To be honest, I've never been convinced there will be a gotcha moment for Trump. I think Mueller is respected enough that he will go after whatever wrong-doing he can prove but if he doesnt have it, he doesnt have it. And he wont nickel & dime Trump. Its possible Trump will be insulated enough or the worst things will be "we know it happened but we cant reasonably prove it beyond doubt". But...we shall see. Mark F 1
bustamente Posted December 4, 2018 Report Posted December 4, 2018 (edited) Roger Stone is a piece of work, but he is not stupid, unfortunately for Trump another campaign talking point comes back to bite him in his big fat arse. Edited December 4, 2018 by bustamente
Wanna-B-Fanboy Posted December 4, 2018 Report Posted December 4, 2018 (edited) Read this and thought I would share this excellent article with everyone. https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2018/12/03/donald-trumps-moscow-deal-framers-222752 Quote Michael Cohen’s guilty plea for lying to Congress about Donald Trump’s Moscow project prompted a new frenzy of “Did the president commit a crime?” chatter among legal pundits. Finding—or refuting—a smoking gun of criminality has become the singular focus for the president’s supporters and critics alike, and his ex-lawyer’s plea deal has turbocharged the search for evidence that will definitely prove his illegal behavior. The implication is that the federal criminal code is the only arbiter of President Trump’s fitness to remain in office and that special counsel Robert Mueller will have the final say on the matter. I would say the thing that would hurt him the most would be everyone finding out he's nowhere near as rich as he pretends to be and he's in debt up to his eyeballs with shady russians. Goalie 1
The Unknown Poster Posted December 5, 2018 Report Posted December 5, 2018 That’s bad news for trump. Seeing this equates to mueller essentially handing Flynn a pardon for his cooperation. I guess two can play that game.

iHeart Posted December 6, 2018 Report Posted December 6, 2018 so apparently Trump wants Bill Barr to replace Sessions, and from what I understand he already served as Atty General under Bush 1.0

So, one has to wonder, whether this is of Kelly's initiative or he's being pushed out. Maybe Hannity is the next Chief of Staff? Edited December 7, 2018 by JCon The Unknown Poster 1
The Unknown Poster Posted December 7, 2018 Report Posted December 7, 2018 Why is he assuming the report will find him guilty? If mueller concludes trump was innocent will trump still release a counter report claiming he’s guilty? these tweets show consciousness of guilt! JCon 1
17to85 Posted December 7, 2018 Report Posted December 7, 2018 Trump has been acting guilty since day 1, the entire 87 pages is probably "No collusion! No collusion! Witch hunt! You're collusion! Hillary! Dems!" over and over again. JCon 1

Interesting blurb here: https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2018/jul/31/donald-trump/donald-trump-says-collusion-no-crime-right/ Quote Donald Trump says collusion is not a crime. That's not right. By Jon Greenberg on Tuesday, July 31st, 2018 at 5:29 p.m. President Donald Trump has consistently denied that any collusion took place between his campaign and Russia. Now, Trump and lawyer Rudy Giuliani are putting new emphasis on the question of whether collusion itself is a crime in the first place. Quote JCon 1
