4 years ago Bernie rated higher against Trump then Hillary which in hindsight would have been enough.

Maybe before the national campaign he did.  Its different when you're the nominee.  And Hilary beat Trump in every way but criminally.  It will be easier to cheat against Bernie because the moderates will already be uneasy.

Assange lawyer: Trump offered pardon in exchange for saying Russia didn't hack DNC

Well, it really "could of been someone else"  Right?

if Assange can prove this.... another career sacrificed for El Supremo.

Absolutely amazing how many people are willing to break the law for Trump.

Trump is thoroughly repellent to me, yet some people are strangely drawn to him.

criminally inclined people.

Dude. Bernie wouldn’t have won.  Hilary was cheated.  If Hilary stumbling after making an appearance with the flu screwed her then trump will have a field day with a 120 year old Bernie who has a heart attack *during* the primaries.  He’s toast.

My understanding is most Americans support and want the things Bernie proposes... by a large margin.

specially universal healthcare, and no cuts to social security. increased minimum, wage.

But If you ask the ususual stupid simple question "would you vote for a socialist" they say no.

That's the poll question the Democrats that don't want Bernie, like to see asked.

He's rolling now, and he's more than capable of dealing with Trump's nasty name calling and lying.

I think Bernie would easily defeat Trump.

His problem then would be his own party......Pelosi, who is a Wall street billionaire donation type.  Democrats in Congress thwarted Carter. No way Pelosi will do a green new deal, or universal health care.

Any candidate but Bernie makes the election about "do you want more Trump".  Bernie as the nominee makes it about "do you want socialism".  It's a field day for Trump.  They cant talk about Trump's age, they cant talk about Trump's health or wellness, they cant demand he release any personal info.  God forbid Bernie have a health issue or another heart attack...I mean, its just crazy to even think about it.

He'd have to have one hell of a running mate.  But so, he chooses Harris, let's say...she got so little support.  A Bernie ticket makes his VP a de facto candidate for President.  Who's he going to choose, Biden?  Not happening.  Warren...?  I guess maybe, but the age thing works against them.

Sanders does have some negatives.

But one thing he has - him and Pelosi are about the only Democrats who truly understand that a race against Trump, has to involve kneecapping, groin kicking, and repeated blows upside the head.

Joe Biden represents the old school democrats. He's basically DOA.

Yeah, the young people, if they vote, will put Bernie in. The codgers (boomers) want no change.

Carrying on business as usual, is a straightline to real disaster. It's what they got with Obama. Even young Republicans want action on renewable energy.

The old guard, made by billionaires government is on its way out in the US.

Thankfully.

Americans don't want universal if it takes away their private and there's too many americans who think that will happen. There fore like gun control it won't pass.

Except for the fact, Bernie's phase-in strategy is pretty smart.  Just take Medicare and lower the age requirement every year. +55yrs, +40yrs, +25yrs, and then the rest...

Public option...

so who’s the ideal running mate?  I like mayor pete. But two white guys?

Mayor Pete is an empty suit. big on feelings... no concrete plans. I used to be high on Pete... but he's just a younger wanna-b-Biden.

nearly three-quarters of Democratic voters believe Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont would defeat incumbent President Donald Trump if Sanders were selected to be the party's presidential nominee, according to a Washington Post-ABC News poll released Wednesday.

Newsweek

a large majority of Americans want universal healthcare. The party that brings that in will rule for quite a while.

same amount of shyt, with bigger slices of bread.

anyway saint Barrack promised that, then promptly ditched once in office. It sunk beneath the healthcare industry waves of cash flowing his way. Can't trust Democratic old schoolers to change anything in a meaningful way.

Where most people are.

yeah but there is no centre party in the US. There is right wing and crazy religious fundamentalist authoritarian.

Bernie is actually the middle ground in the States. Republicans have been dragging things so far to the right down there it's laughable.
