Wow. Serious dystopia vibes from this with shades of 1984... it's... just wow.

Looks like a lot more bluster coming out of the Trump camp and I can see another artist joining

artists who have denounced the U.S. president's use of their songs, including John Fogerty, Phil Collins, Panic! At The Disco and the estates of Leonard Cohen, Tom Petty and Prince.

Conservative Twitter losing it’s mind this morning over Tucker Carlson’s interview with Tony Bobulinski, a “business associate” of Hunter Biden, who has “shocking proof” of Joe’s side business deals with China. Two main talking points are

(a) how this will blow the lid off the Biden campaign and lead to criminal prosecution against the Biden crime family (the projection of the President’s supporters is really quite something), which so far has led to.............um, nothing of the sort

(b) how scandalous it is that NO OTHER mainstream media is even picking up the story, and it is not trending on Twitter proving the massive bias and cover-up to protect Joe.

Now I don’t know all of the facts, and can’t say for sure if the whole laptop from hell etc. is phony or not. The optics of it look very suspect as a legit story given the source of the information. But what I really have to laugh at now is how Trump is whining on Twitter that no one believes this story and refuses to cover it. Trump has lied so often in the past 4 years and about such dumb stuff and easily disprovable claims at times (biggest inauguration, I never said I don’t take responsibility) that he has become the boy who cries wolf. Even If the Biden story is 100% real, there is smug satisfaction that Trump’s own serial lying behaviour has sabotaged any possibility that he will be believed now. You screwed yourself there, stable genius. And the whole “boy who cries wolf” parable was one I learned in Grade One. You are what, 74 years old?

MAGA scrambles to repair the Hunter Biden narrative
Instead of publishing the more salacious allegations, conservative media has been more focused on covering alleged suppression of the story.

Given that Uncle Rudy, Bannon and two White House lawyers  composed the task force, trying to "sell" this story to various media outlets.........one can pretty do the math, on this one

WHat is insane about this, is the fact that Fox news division passed on the Lap top from hell story. Yet, the entire fox corp gets all indignant and 1st Amendy- wrapping themselves in the constitution for "blatant right view censorship"...

And that's what is crazy- the unabashed hypocrisy with absolutely no shame.... it's appalling, yet expected.

Oracle's Ellison donated $250K to Graham Super PAC days before TikTok deal went through:
The top executive at one of the nation's leading technology companies gave a quarter of a million dollars to a PAC supporting Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) while he was brokering a deal between TikTok and a U.S.-based cloud computing company

In this case, "brokering" is the correct terminology

Oh, because it’s about you Ron Johnson, it’s now a very important issue. In this tweet you read, the person, female, male, states it’s a lie, so, in effect, disqualifying that tweet.
You’re very agitated about this but when your own President lies every day in tweets, that’s ok by you.

That about says it all.

They need to be tossed.

“President Donald Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner boasted in mid-April about how the President had cut out the doctors and scientists advising him on the unfolding coronavirus pandemic, comments that came as more than 40,000 Americans already had died from the virus, which was ravaging New York City.

In a taped interview on April 18, Kushner told legendary journalist Bob Woodward that Trump was "getting the country back from the doctors" in what he called a "negotiated settlement." Kushner also proclaimed that the US was moving swiftly through the "panic phase" and "pain phase" of the pandemic and that the country was at the "beginning of the comeback phase."

The statement reflected a political strategy. Instead of following the health experts' advice, Trump and Kushner were focused on what would help the President on Election Day. By their calculations, Trump would be the "open-up president."

This shows how stupid these people are. Absolute dolts.

If Trump had done the right thing with Covid, he would have had a much better chance of being re elected. Heroic action in a crisis blah blah.

my fav media bit of the Trumps is (not invited )Ivanka trying to participate in a conversation with a bunch of very smart and successful women, (christine Lagarde, etc), they look at her with disgust  as she starts yammering. Christine LaGarde.... 🤣 Ivanka....what a facking nitwit.

And there’s the sheer lunacy of it. Managing the Virus by facing it dead on would have improved every aspect of the US economy, hospitalizations and deaths, thereby practically guaranteeing him another term.

He's not smart enough and the people are around him are dumber. The only ones even less capable of handling anything challenging are his supporters.

When Trump first came out talking about the Virus as "under control" "will just go away" and praising the Chinese Premier for his great response............... the die was cast.    When it started to become apparent that Covid was a present danger, instead of conceding somewhat..... Trump simply doubled down, talking about "perfect response" "10 out of 10" "Democratic hoax"

By now, there was clearly a need for action - so The Corona Virus Task Force.   Unfortunately, starting with putting Pence in charge, the Task Force, despite the best efforts of Fauci and others......started to resemble a White House PR initiative.  Trump decided that the most knowledgeable disease expert should take the lead, in the briefings.......himself.  The briefings simply turned into a daily Trump mis-information spreader and brag fest.  But, after the "light and bleach" fiasco, a new approach was needed, with Trump stepping back, for a bit.   This approach turned out to be a mix of science (Fauci, Birx) and butt kissing (Pence, Jackson and others).

Something had to give.  As you might of guessed Trump and the WH started "Getting the country back from the doctors" (Kushner)   Birx's charts and graphs were actually showing the truth - so she got pushed out of the picture.   Fauci's scientific facts were totally contradicting the upbeat message - so he had to be insulted, belittled, and marginalized.    Trump contracted the virus, but in his unemphatic mind, that simply provided some photo ops, and boosted the narrative that he was even more of an expert about the Virus.

In my first sentence I mentioned that the "die was cast", even in those early days.   Because when Trump, who is a true narcissist is caught telling lies......he simply doubles down and adds more lies.   The idea that American lives could of been saved with more candour and a quicker response, probably never entered his mind.    Trump's self image is what counted, and to hell with anything and everything else.   Even now with the virus - he quadruples down on the lies.  If these inane rallies cause more people - his most devoted followers, to get the virus - so what?  He really doesn't care about them either.

Trump failed to manage the virus, because at some point, he would of had to admit fault.   Not happening.....now.....or ever.

Historians will not be kind...
