Mr Dee
It’s not really going that well...his shirt was untucked, his mouth misspoke his words, he didn’t understand some questions and he didn’t have many answers. Other than that, it went fine. “The Trump campaign has been treated totally differently than the Bush campaign,” Giuliani said, misstating the name of President-elect Biden. It was Rudolph W. Giuliani’s first appearance in federal court since the early 1990s, and by late afternoon Tuesday, it was clear that U.S. District Judge Matthew W. Brann was losing patience with President Trump’s personal attorney.”

Mark F
General cienfuego now released......just two weeks ago..... this is rancid. ap LOS ANGELES (AP) — Mexico’s former defense secretary helped a cartel smuggle thousands of kilograms of cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine and marijuana into the United States in exchange for bribes, according to court documents unsealed Friday. Gen. Salvador Cienfuegos Zepeda, 72, acted on behalf of the H-2 cartel while defense secretary from 2012 to 2018 under former President Enrique Pena Nieto, authorities said. Thousands of intercepted BlackBerry messages show the general ensured military operations were not conducted against the cartel, and that operations were initiated against rivals, according to prosecutors. Cienfuegos allegedly introduced cartel leaders to other corrupt Mexican officials. Cienfuegos — also known as “El Padrino,” or “The Godfather,” according to the indictment — is accused of alerting cartel leaders to a U.S. law enforcement investigation into its operations and the use of cooperating witnesses and informants, which resulted in the murder of a member of the cartel that leaders incorrectly believed was assisting U.S. law enforcement authorities. Intercepted communications between Cienfuegos and a senior cartel leader discussed the general’s historical assistance to another drug trafficking organization, as well as communications in which the defendant is identified by name, title and photograph as the Mexican government official assisting the H-2 cartel, authorities said. the American "war on drugs" is a joke. I've posted this before. Trump and all his miscreants need to be investigated and vigorously prosecuted where appropriate but transparently and within the confines of the law. Engaging in specious prosecutions will destroy the credibility of the incoming Democrat administration and justify the GOP wailings of persecution. The GOP and Trump will do this regardless, but should not be given any justification. The Democrats have to show that they have the moral high ground or many of the voters who supported them in 2020 will abandon them for a very long time. bustamente and Mr Dee
