Hmmm, Trump pardoning murders? Of course. Helps that they were Blackwater. Erik Prince, who started that terrorist organization, is Betsy DeVos' brother. A family of terrorists.

and...Democrats still stupid. https://www.commondreams.org/news/2020/12/22/biden-taps-bruce-reed-deficit-hawk-and-longtime-enemy-social-security-deputy-chief

President-elect Joe Biden announced Tuesday that he has selected longtime adviser and notorious deficit hawk Bruce Reed to serve as deputy chief of staff, alarming progressives who have warned for weeksthat the Democratic operative's record of commitment to austerity and support for Social Security cuts should disqualify him for any role in the White House.

Originally considered a leading contender to lead the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) before Biden selected Neera Tanden for that role, Reed is one of the architects of former President Bill Clinton's disastrous "welfare reform" as well as the 1994 crime bill, which Biden helped craft.

Reed served as executive Director of the Bowles-Simpson commission, an Obama administration initiative that in 2010 recommendedslashing Social Security benefits and raising the program's retirement age. Reed was the lead author of the commission's report, "The Moment of Truth" (pdf).

Obama repeatedly tried to cut social security. such a nice smile though.

when Bernie was running for the nomination he emphasized Bidens attempts to cut

social security.

man, they really are completely out of touch with the average person plight.

For all the Trump Apologists and whataboutism people, if you shrug at who these people are as human beings and offer up a yea they're not the greatest people but (insert whataboutism rationalization and misdiagnosis of human behaviour) you're an all Trump DNA type of person, some known some hidden. Just own it all out loud.

The NDAA has become law every year for 59 years straight because it's absolutely vital to our national security and our troops. This year must not be an exception. Our men and women who volunteer to wear the uniform shouldn't be denied what they need— ever," Inhofe tweeted.
It's unclear if Republicans will again defy the President and vote to override his veto. Multiple House lawmakers, including the top Democrat and Republican on the House Armed Services Committee, however, previously said they will cut their holidays short for Congress to return to Washington to override a veto if necessary. A new vote has yet to be scheduled.

Does anyone in the Democratic party besides Bernie and Elizabeth give a damn about the average and working poor Americans?

Mike Pence accidentally admits the real reason Republicans hate Democrats so much

The grassroots organization People for Bernie on Tuesday advised the Democratic Party to take a page from an unlikely source—right-wing Vice President Mike Pence—after Pence told a rally crowd in Florida that progressives and Democrats "want to make rich people poorer, and poor people more comfortable."

"Good message," tweeted the group, alerting the Democratic National Committee to adopt the vice president's simple, straightforward description of how the party can prioritize working people over corporations and the rich.

There has to be a consequence for all this crap, and severe one. The question is: do the Democrats have the cojones to (legally) prosecute these weasels to the hilt?

You can’t legally prosecute someone twice for the same crime. Pardons are stupid, whichever President hands them out , but it is Constitutionally allowed. Don’t hate the player, hate the game.

I was referring to Trump being hauled before a judge that he has maligned.

Can’t re-impeach him either, even if all the folks who ducked subpoenas before are forced to testify. NY state will get him on his tax stuff and get a more substantial sentence than anything the Feds will get. The government system was always predicated on a President being checked by the other branches and his own conscience to not wield his power for corrupt reasons. Partisanship has eroded the checks and balances of the first safeguard, and a narcissistic sociopath like Trump exposed the flaws in relying on the second. The Constitution, long touted by Americans as the “greatest living document in history” is showing its warts once again.

Unless Trump is pardoned by Pence, or tries to pardon himself, he is still subject to criminal prosecution as there is a lot of evidence that he has committed both treason and sedition, not to mention a host of other criminal acts.
