Democrats already making excuses if the lose the Governors race tomorrow in Virginia, keep being meek and let the minority run the party and the Republicans will wipe you out

Glenn Youngkin’s Right-Wing Allies Are Ready To Claim Virginia’s Election Was Stolen. Donald Trump and his supporters, including surrogates for Republican Glenn Youngkin’s campaign for governor, have already begun spreading lies about election fraud.

Glenn Youngkin, the Republican private equity executive locked in a tight Virginia governor’s race with former Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D), has said during debates that he would “absolutely” accept the results of Tuesday’s election were he to lose.

But some of Youngkin’s most ardent right-wing allies and supporters do not feel the same way. In the week leading up to Election Day, several of Youngkin’s prominent right-wing supporters ― including some who’ve acted as surrogates for his campaign ― have set the stage to claim that Democrats fraudulently stole the election.

With polls tightening in recent weeks, the Virginia governor’s race is a toss-up that either candidate could win, and the narrative in Virginia and nationally suggests that Youngkin has momentum and enthusiasm on his side heading into the race’s final 24 hours.

In that environment, Youngkin’s right-wing allies have once again primed conservative voters to believe that there’s no way a Democratic candidate like McAuliffe could prevail unless there is fraud, even in a state where Democrats have won every statewide election since 2009, including two governor’s races, four presidential contests, and multiple races for lieutenant governor and attorney general. Even if Youngkin were to lose and concede the race to McAuliffe, it seems inevitable that some of his most influential backers will refuse to accept defeat.

The loudest of those claims have come from Amanda Chase, the Virginia state senator who faced formal censure earlier this year after she attended the Jan. 6 “Stop the Steal” rally that precipitated the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, and who has repeatedly lied about widespread election fraud in the 2020 contest former President Donald Trump lost.

Chase has used radio interviews, Facebook and other platforms to spread elaborate and convoluted conspiracy theories about Democratic plots to “steal” the Virginia election, the biggest contest to take place since Trump’s loss last year.

Democrats better wake up from their slumber after last night, Youngkin winning has precedent but NJ Governor Phil Murphy is barely leading and if he does win the Republicans will claim he stole it and their is fraud and off to court we go. No need to go to court in Virginia though

GOP running on nothing but hate and fear. There are no policies being discussed, just endless fearmongering. But, that's the Right! And Democrats are impotent, so afraid to call them out on it and so unwilling to do anything that might upset them.

I got to think there's more to it than this. It's these backroom deals, schemes, lining the pockets of each other, hoodwinking as all playing us for fools is what's going on.

Oh, yes, they're all taking in huge amounts of money, getting rich. The whole political system in the US is a money grab to get rich and keep the billionaires rich. It's an endless cycle. I can't believe a "First World" country operates like that.

That’s a good point.  Plenty of corporate democrats derailing a progressive agenda while lining their pockets from donors.  Manchin and Sienema being the most prominent.

But, it's also the system that requires endless campaigning and fund raising. That's all they do.

That s why the US political system is broken.  Too much money & lobbyists influencing legislative decisions to benefit a small number of benefactors.

Any country whose courts have decided that corporations are people is screwed.  And those who openly participated in the planning or supporting the January 6th attempted coup are being elected. A prime example is Youngkin who was elected governor despite openly racist rhetoric that placed him to the right of Trump.

And I 'love' when people like him quote Martin Luther King, Jr.

He should be thrown in jail just for that.

New Grand Jury Seated As Trump Criminal Probe Continues.  The Manhattan district attorney’s office is weighing whether to seek more indictments in a case that has already resulted in tax fraud charges against Trump’s company,

NEW YORK (AP) — New York prosecutors investigating former President Donald Trump’s business dealings have convened a new grand jury to hear evidence in the probe as the previous panel’s term was set to run out, a person familiar with the matter told The Associated Press Thursday.

The development comes as the Manhattan district attorney’s office is weighing whether to seek more indictments in a case that has already resulted in tax fraud charges against Trump’s company, the Trump Organization, and its longtime CFO Allen Weisselberg.

Trump himself remains under investigation after District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. led a multiyear fight to get access to the Republican’s tax records.

The person was not authorized to speak publicly and did so on condition of anonymity. The news of the new grand jury was first reported by The Washington Post.

Far-right congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has found “common ground” with the Black nationalist organisation the Nation of Islam, claiming Louis Farrakhan, his conspiracy theory-promoting newspaper and its followers share her opposition to Covid-19 vaccines, public health officials and the press..

The Republican congresswoman from Georgia shared a 17-post Twitter thread on 8 November following her recent visit to a jail holding people accused of participating in the attack on the US Capitol.

She is absolutely batshit.

Using subpoena's as one example of many, the social media bravado we constantly get from these people in decision making roles is all a show. Backroom deals and relationships run this rigged system.  They'll throw us a bone now and then just to keep us at bay but nothing of major substance that would hold the major players accountable.

Republican Paul Gosar tweets anime-themed video of him killing Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Rep. Paul Gosar, R-Ariz., the far-right dentist known for his ties to multiple white nationalist groups, on Sunday released a video of photoshopped clips of an anime show depicting him killing Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.

The tweeted video – which he captioned, "Any anime fans out there?" – opens with Gosar's name under Japanese text that reads "attack of immigrants," an apparent reference to the anime show "Attack on the Titan" from which the Republican pulled various clips.

The video then goes on to show footage of immigrants at the southern border, overlaying the footage with anime-style special effects and crosscutting with interstitials that read "drugs, crime, poverty, money, gangs, violence" and "trafficking."

About midway into the video, "Attack on the Titan main character Eren Yaeger is shown in a mashup of clips with Gosar's face photoshopped onto the cartoon character. Swords in both hands, the fictionalized Gosar scales a European-esque urban landscape alongside cartoon versions of Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., and Lauren Bobert, R-Colo., until slaying what appears to be a titan with Ocasio-Cortez's face photoshopped onto it.

Toward the end, the cartoon Gosar is shown leaping into the air with his blades unsheathed moments before striking the photoshopped head of President Joe Biden.

This Texas town's first Black principal was fired over CRT — which the district admits was never taught

The first Black principal of Colleyville Heritage High School in Grapevine, Texas, has lost his job after a months-long battle with the school board, which accused him of teaching and promoting critical race theory (CRT) in his school.

Just a month after Dr. James Whitfield wrote a letter decrying the deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor, saying systemic racism was "alive and well" and that "education is the key to stomping out ignorance, hate, and systemic racism," Stetson Clark, a former school board candidate at Grapevine-Colleyville High School, called for the principal's firing.

"He is encouraging the disruption and destruction of our district," Clark said, July 26, 2020, according to the Texas Tribune.

Whitfield received a disciplinary letter from the district a few weeks later and was placed on administrative leave soon after that. In late July, the board then recommended a proposal not to renew Whitfield's contract for the 2022-2023 school year.

In addition to Whitfield's email condemning the deaths of Black folk, the mostly white Texas community, had issues with the fact that Whitfield has a white wife and his participation on a district-approved panel about diverse differences.

And even though the school district acknowledges that CRT was never taught in the school, these Karens and Brandons have elected to offer the principal a settlement in lieu of keeping him in his job. Monday, the school board voted unanimously to fire him.

A joint statement from Whitfield and the school board gave the following rationale:

"Both the District and Dr. Whitfield each strongly believe they are in the right. However, each also agrees that the division in the community about this matter has impacted the education of the District's students… The District and Dr. Whifield have mutually agreed to resolve their disputes."

A federal judge rejected former president Donald Trump's request to block the release of documents to the House of Representatives committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

In denying a preliminary injunction, U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan said Tuesday that Congress had a strong public interest in obtaining records that could shed light on a violent insurrection mounted by the former president's supporters.

She added that President Joe Biden had the authority to waive executive privilege over the documents despite Trump's assertions otherwise.

Barring a court order, the National Archives plans to turn over Trump's records to the committee by Friday. But Trump's lawyers swiftly promised an appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. The case will likely eventually head to the U.S. Supreme Court.

It seems it's obvious to everyone but the DOJ what Trump and his cronies are trying to do, so many crooks but nobody wants to do anything about it

And, some people seem to think that Democrats are playing some sort of long game here, putting everything into place, before taking everyone down. This will not happen, ever. They want their corporate money, just like the GOP.

Amy Siskind is a moron. The song on the ringer was God Bless The USA. A pretty popular and patriotic song.

What Amy Siskind seems to have missed, is what the defence lawyer was talking about before the phone rang. The defence was talking about issuing a mistrial with prejudice because the prosecution broke some major rules in the cross with Kyle.

If Kyle Rittenhouse does not get acquitted, there are some real problems with the justice system. All of the evidence points to self defence.  This one is obvious.
