bustamente Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 Really the worst effort of the year, Jets are woeful in so many part of the game, Maurice looks exactly like the coach that has been fired how many times coaching other teams. Don't see any coaching until they miss the playoffs yet again and this time they better clean house.
IC Khari Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 (edited) I'm thinking the "Rethinking Paul Maurice" thread is going to be taking on a whole new relevancy in the next few months on here Edited November 26, 2016 by IC Khari Floyd 1
Floyd Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 Stafford, Thorburn and Stuart are glaring weaknesses on this team... just don't see the vet presence other than buying beers the night before.

Goalie Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 Yet Maurice trots them out all 3rd and benches his best players. The room has been lost. No discipline plus no effort = lost the room. Nothing changes until Maurice is gone
IC Khari Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 Who are the top 5 prospects for the June draft again?
Goalie Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 Winnipeg center Nolan Patrick RD Timothy Liljegren LD Nicolas Hague Center from Windsor Gabriel Valiardi (sp??) Then there's a bunch

Floyd Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 PK Time On Ice... Trouba - 5:10 Stuart - 4:32 Chiarot - 4:20 Buff - 4:05 Morrissey - 0:59 There's your game story right there... Morrissey is our best defensive Dman...
SpeedFlex27 Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 The Jets future looked promising even after being swept in 4 games by the Ducks in the opening round of the 2015 NHL playoffs. They've fallen into a vast pit since. What happened? I keep waiting for all these prospects we're supposed to have to actually start contributing & the Jets start winning. So far not much. We are committed to building slowly via the draft & nor free agency or by trade. At some point the blame has to be put on Cheveldayoff instead of firing head coaches.
Ducky Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 He has lost a big part of the room... to sick bay. Stuart and Thorbs are not NHL caliber players... Postma and Chiarot are marginal... Connor and Tanev are rookies playing like rookies... I am going to go out on a limb here and guess that the team will start playing better once all the injured players are back... Take a step back from the ledge.
Goalie Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 (edited) Connor and Tanev were pretty good tonight. But sure blame rookies. Buff has sucked and was on the ice for all 5 goals. Maybe 4 but 2 or 3 were a direct result of buff sucking. Stuart needs to go. So does Thor. It's the rookies that are actually playing well and the so called veteran leaders like buff Thor and Stu suck every game. Little hasn't played really in 10 months. Armia and Mathias are long term. Stafford is back now and sucking. . MP? he hadn't been great. Bottom line. .. undisciplined team.... bad PP. It's all on the coach. This is what happens when you don't give consequences to players who keep ******* up. No discipline is on Maurice and that discipline has been a huge issue his entire time with the Jets. . Vincent got the blame last year but... he's with the Moose now and you see the same problems. It's coaching. Nothing will change that. Edited November 26, 2016 by Goalie
Ducky Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 100 man games lost in the first 25 games which is an average of 4 players off of the roster missing every game. Have a puff and let that sink in for a second.
Ducky Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 not blaming anyone... Blaming injuries more than anything... Next to the goalie the center position is the most important and we are missing a number 2 and number three.
Goalie Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 (edited) With a healthy team with not as good goaltending... Jets were 10 10 3 after 23 games last year. Guys who are injured won't make a huge difference at all. Because you know that guys like Petan (Solid game) Dano (best forward tonight) and Copp (86% on the draw) will be sent down and thorburn Stuart and the other crappy players like Burmi won't be. The coaching is just not good enough. Why doesn't Maurice have the balls to put buff on the bench. He was on the ice for EVER goal against and has been awful. Why isn't Stuart on the bench after being Stuuuu pid. It's coaching. Edited November 26, 2016 by Goalie
IC Khari Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 Photos, Burmi has compromising photos of Maurice and/or Chevy ... (hope that image didn't ruin your evening even more)
Ducky Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 The guys who are injured won't make any difference ya okay. do you know that do you know that the goaltending was better last year because it goaltending this year hasn't been very good at all. Did you actually go back and look at the goals against average last year or the save percentages last year? Our goaltending is not the only reason we're doing poorly this year but our goaltending needs to improve.

Our goaltending is not the only reason we're doing poorly this year but our goaltending needs to improve. Having Little, Armia, Perreault back should help. I have not seen any games since last weekend. How are the younglings playing? KConnor might have been on his way to the minors before his injury so yay he's back but 1 goal is 1 goal. Goaltending is still #1 problem from what I hear. Need a miracle and Xmas is a long ways off. Edited November 26, 2016 by FrostyWinnipeg
Ducky Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 Myers and Enstrom might help too. Goalie 1
bustamente Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 While I agree that injuries have had an effect on the season I think we are starting to use it as a crutch, truthfully this team does not have the talent nor the depth to win right now. FrostyWinnipeg 1
Goalie Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 How do you blame goaltending when you score 8 goals in 5 games. For the Jets to have won 3 games on this 5 game trip... the goalie would have needed a shutout. Blaming goaltending is BS and an excuse. 1 goal scored maybe 2 if we are lucky. Benching Laine Scheif Wheeler. Putting thorburn and Burmi out with 2 minutes to go down by 1 or more in games. Maurice gave up tonight. When he benched scheif wheeler and Laine he gave up. What message is he sending? That if you suck like buff stu and Thor you get to play but if you have 1 penalty you bench the whole line?
Goalie Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 I will say myers and enstrom would make a difference. Cuz that means 2 of Postma stu or Chiarot don't play. The D zone and the D outside of Morrissey and trouba were awful tonight.
bustamente Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 This losing streak has really kicked the Jets down the standings and are now only 5 teams with less points than us. and they have all played less games than us. If the losing ways continue Sunday and beyond the Jets will be dead last overall very soon, have to say i did not see this coming injuries or no injuries.
Goalie Posted November 26, 2016 Report Posted November 26, 2016 If they lose Sunday they are on pace for 68 points

That works both ways...in this 5 game road trip they let in 20 (5,4,3,3,5) goals. The Jets wold have had to score 5 goals in one game to win....4 goals in two games to win and 6 goals in 2 games to win....I can play with numbers too. Is there a team in the league that has the depth to cover their top (2nd?) center a full 2nd line and 2/3 of a third line as well as 2 of your top 4 D men out? I can't think of any...
