In 1942, Hall was doing manual labor at the time when a wealthy stranger offered to pay for his college education on condition that he repaid the money, got top grades, kept his benefactor’s name anonymous and agreed to help someone else. iHeart Posted October 2, 2017 Report Posted October 2, 2017 (edited) well if it turns out that the news f his death was greatly exaggerated then this would probably be the best news all day considering what happened this morning or not...this from TMZ 1:35 PM PT -- Sources tell us at 10:30 Monday morning a chaplain was called to Tom's hospital room. We're told the family has a do not resuscitate order on Tom. The singer is not expected to live throughout the day, but he's still clinging to life. A report that the LAPD confirmed the singer's death is inaccurate -- the L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. handled the emergency. Edited October 2, 2017 by iHeart
