If she runs again as an independent, her constituents bloody well better vote her back in.

Zontar Posted March 30, 2019 Report Posted March 30, 2019 Funny, you'd think an aboriginal woman taking on her white male superiors in a white male dominated profession would be pure gold to these people....and not the boat rocking rat they're trying to paint her as. rebusrankin 1

Forget the 100,000 jobs lost in Alberta but Trudeau is an MP from Quebec FIRST & the 9,000 SNC Lavalin jobs are sacred & MUST BE SAVED so his re-electon will be guaranteed. Nothing else matters. No one else matters. Quebec is such a repugnant & corrupt province. Edited March 30, 2019 by SpeedFlex27

It's not the saving but a lack of caring. When 2,500 jobs were lost in Oshawa by GM closing the plant down, there's Andrew Scheer playing to the voters in Ontario demanding & getting an emergency sitting of the H of C. Even though there's nothing any politician could have done as GM's corporate mind was already made up. That emergency sitting has never occurred for the energy workers & others in subsidiary industries where people lost their jobs in BC, Alberta & Saskatchewan. Why because the Conservatives know they still have the votes in Western Canada & Trudeau doesn't care as he knows The West is a wilderness for the federal Liberals.

Well anyone who wants an economy should.... you paying much less in gas with the current price vs. 4 years ago? Here is the thing: the price of oil isn't horrible, but canadian oil is devalued because we can't get our product to market because of lack of pipelines, which at this point are a political issue. rebusrankin 1
rebusrankin Posted March 31, 2019 Report Posted March 31, 2019 If Trudeau hadn't started all this social license nonsense as a backdoor way to shut down the industry and wasn't pandering to Quebec on Energy East, its possible that you have two pipelines to ship those resources and access to world pricing which likely saves some of those jobs.Of course, you also have to deal with a system where we now have unelected, accountable to nobody judges making decisions and foreign groups funding protests which nobody is going to deal with and that the majority of people don't think about. SpeedFlex27 Posted March 31, 2019 Report Posted March 31, 2019 (edited) Funny how Frosty says that no one wants higher oil prices at the pump when the federal carbon tax is set to take effect tomorrow. We're all paying more thanks to progressives like Trudeau & Notley & if Frosty thinks it's bad now just wait until 2022. The only ones I see not upset & happy to pay a carbon tax are mostly single, young Millennial progressives that drink the orange or red kool aid of the NDP & Liberals. The low income, the fixed income seniors on CPP or the disabled, young families will all suffer. Governments are all taking their piece of our wallets & don't even apologize for it. While Trudeau flies around the world on private jets taking expensive holidays, going to unnecessary global UN conferences or hanging out with his friends the political elites in Europe & New York. We pay & pay & pay more. Edited March 31, 2019 by SpeedFlex27

Mark H. Posted March 31, 2019 Report Posted March 31, 2019 Personally, I don’t believe any Canadian government is going to build a pipeline. Harper might have, but not any of the current leaders. The Unknown Poster 1

No I think someone is going to have to build one sooner or later. The reality of the situation is that we need that industry to maintain a strong economy. We're a resource producing country, that's about all we can do. The Unknown Poster 1

Why the need to be resource producing when Trudeau can tax Canadians to death. Literally & figuratively.
