Just read somewhere that sheer has a former trump campaigner working on his campaign... anyone know more about This?

Haven't read that, but the Globe and Mail is reporting that Hamish Marshall's firm (One Persuasion Inc.) is working for Scheer and the oil and gas industry simultaneously.  It's behind a paywall, so I don't know the details.

VIDEO: Former Speaker Andrew Scheer praises Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio as “strong conservative voices

Conservative MP Andrew Scheer had glowing words for Republican presidential candidates Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio at the Manning Centre Conference in Ottawa.

February 27, 2016

Conservative MP Andrew Scheer, the former Speaker of the House of Commons, had glowing words for Republican presidential candidates Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, calling the pair “strong conservative voices” who are making a positive “impact” on American politics.

Scheer was moderating a breakout session Friday on “building a conservative coalition for victory” at the 2016 Manning Centre Conference in Ottawa.

Introducing former Republican Senator Jim DeMint, a leading Tea Party figure who once called for a ban on gay teachers in public schools, along with any unmarried women who are “sleeping with her boyfriends,” Scheer suggested Canadian conservatives could draw inspiration from their Tea Party cousins as they look to rebuild the conservative movement.

How quickly we've learned how paper thin the morals of the "Tea Party" was. Conservatism is dead in Canada and US.

Kind of give him a pass on that as Trump not elected yet.

The Tea Party started in 2009, so we knew what they were even in 2016.

And once again for those that missed it:  Introducing former Republican Senator Jim DeMint, a leading Tea Party figure who once called for a ban on gay teachers in public schools, along with any unmarried women who are “sleeping with her boyfriends,” Scheer suggested Canadian conservatives could draw inspiration from their Tea Party cousins as they look to rebuild the conservative movement.

That's nothing new, Team Harper had Republican strategists working directly on his election campaigns,  they're probably still involved.  They may not have ties specifically to Team Trump but the historical connections with the Republican party run deep.

In at least two Conservative-won ridings with reported election irregularities, Front Porch Strategies had US staff on the ground – possibly against Elections Canada rules barring foreign campaigning. In the wake of the “robocall” voter suppression scandal, the Republican-tied U.S. firm hired by 14 Conservative campaigns admitted on Friday to having had U.S. staff working "in the trenches" during the 2011 elections, in an apparent violation of the Canada Election Act which bars foreign political involvement.

Americans PJ Wenzel and Matthew Parker -- director and CEO of Front Porch Strategies, respectively – participated directly in at least two Canadian Conservative campaigns, according to social media updates and a photograph from the successful election campaigns of associate defence minister Julian Fantino and MP Rick Dykstra, immigration minister Jason Kenney's parliamentary secretary.

The revelations contradict Conservative party claims that Front Porch Strategies' only role during the election was to conduct telephone town halls.

Republican strategists helping Conservatives' campaign

Matt and PJ headed to Toronto tomorrow to campaign for Conservative Candidates!” Front Porch Strategies posted on their official Facebook page on April 18, 2011. “Nothing like getting in the trenches with terrific people who are going to make a difference once elected.”

The next day, Front Porch's Facebook page featured a photograph of Parker, telephone in hand, as he looked over what appears to be a voter contact list and a poster stating: “Election day is Monday, May 2. YOU CAN VOTE NOW.”

Below the photo was the caption: “Matt lending a hand for MP Fantino here in the greater Toronto area (GTA),” followed by a Front Porch Strategies comment three days later: “We need to get VoIP [Voice Over Internet Protocol] phones up there... dialing numbers is so 'old-fashioned'.... we need to get them the '21st Century Technology.'”

Russia’s disinformation about Canada also focuses on three other areas, according to the report. These include ridiculing Canada’s military presence in Latvia as part of NATO’s deterrent against Russia, portraying the country as a “useful satellite” of the U.S., and calling it a testing ground for “immoral Western values” because of its support of same-sex marriage and legalizing of cannabis.

So I was reading today about the provinces slamming the feds for cutting back on healthcare repayments for Canadian military personal, who apparently aren't covered under provincial plans. Can I just say that this is dumb and that Canadian military personal should be covered under provincial plans like everybody else.

Oh heck no lol. Too many specifics about this story to dismiss it altogether. But honestly it wouldn’t matter anyway   A lot of liberal supporters were fine with blackface and they’d be fine with a teacher sleeping with his student too. As long as he’s a handsome liberal.

im surprised Jagmeet hasn’t been boosted but it seems like NDP support is actually moving to the liberals to block the PC’s.  Is that the general thought?

Seems to me conservatives were fine with the blackface too, they just didn't care for the hypocrisy, just sayin'.

I’m not sure I understand. I haven’t been following the federal election that closely. Was there an incident of blackface (or similar) among the conservatives?

Not sure what "legit journalists" would send you such garbage but you may want to consider cutting ties with them. There is literally nothing trustworthy about the Buffalo Chronicle and it's been known to publish false information. Even The Rebel has a better reporting record, which isn't saying much when you consider the two bozos who founded it.

So PM Jolson shows up late for a rally surrounded by security in tactical dress. Not RCMP,  private security? Local cops? But if it was truly a tactical, situation the rally wouldn't have been cancelled and or the room cleared for everyone's protection ?

Another dress up party ? A stunt for compliant media to ask why so the reply can be I've been threatened by "white nationalists" and voting liberal is the only thing stopping  Canada from turning into 1930s Alabama?

Day after CBC launches law suit vs conservatives two weeks before an election ? Bizzare even by 2019 politics standards.

Don't be naive, TUP knew the story was completely made up, he just wanted to cast doubt by mentioning it 2-3 times so everyone was well aware of the allegation, a  tactic right out of the Conservative dirty playbook.  Did you hear they caught Andrew Scheer in a barn ******* goats?  It might not be true but the imagery of Andrew Scheer in a barn ******* goats makes me question his fitness for office.  Hide your goats!

The Liberals are in full blown panic mode with the latest polls, they are losing support to the NDP's while the Cons numbers remain the same,

https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/elections/scheer-singh-make-confident-pitch-to-voters-trudeau-targets-both-as-polls-move-to-favour-conservatives/ar-AAIGaM6?ocid=spartandhp

The Liberals will be pulling every dirty trick out of their book to try to salvage things now. However, what can you possibly use against Jagmeet if you are a Liberal spin doctor?
