Floyd Posted January 11, 2017 Report Posted January 11, 2017 http://jetsnation.ca/2017/1/11/future-free-agents-karl-alzner Nice article on Jets nation... could be a real nice signing in the off-season - love to see him here, huge upgrade over Enstrom Ducky 1

Atomic Posted January 11, 2017 Report Posted January 11, 2017 Hate to be a downer but expecting any top free agent to come to Winnipeg is still a pipe dream unfortunately. At least until we start winning consistently (talking year-by-year, not game-by-game). Is it possible? Sure. So is winning the Super 7 jackpot.
IC Khari Posted January 11, 2017 Report Posted January 11, 2017 I'm skeptical about people named Karl ... Floyd 1

Ducky Posted January 12, 2017 Report Posted January 12, 2017 This is the same guy I said Chevy should go after over a month ago and Floyd mocked me...not sure what changed his mind but glad he did. This is exactly the type of D man we need. Match him up with an offensive minded D man like Buff or pair him with Trouba or Myers and you would have a great pair. No way the Jets pay a D man 6m without moving one out though. 6m per year seems a bit much though, no? I'd give him 6m if he signed for 5 years but no longer.

People looking at the trades MTL and EDM did are now thinking that a solid defensive dman is a good thing.
The Unknown Poster Posted January 12, 2017 Report Posted January 12, 2017 Wouldn't give him a long term deal at 29 years old. Goalie 1

Actually I mocked you only after the 9th post where you suggested signing him. Just to be clear. Atomic 1
IC Khari Posted January 12, 2017 Report Posted January 12, 2017 Some d effort like Monday's game would have helped tonight as well Mark F and Goalie 2
Ducky Posted January 12, 2017 Report Posted January 12, 2017 Too bad Laine wasn't playing. He might have netted a couple in a game like that... IC Khari 1
