FrostyWinnipeg Posted January 21, 2017 Report Posted January 21, 2017 (edited) Game Time : Monday 7 Game Story ; Yet another chance to win 3 in a row only this time the odds are against us and the situation is grim. The one team we can almost never beat but we have this new goalie who is securing his reputation as a miracle worker Edited January 24, 2017 by FrostyWinnipeg Mark F and Floyd 2
Floyd Posted January 21, 2017 Report Posted January 21, 2017 Have to start Pavs... putting Helle back in after two wins is the equivalent to feeding him to the wolves Goalie 1

Floyd Posted January 21, 2017 Report Posted January 21, 2017 Just now, Goalie said: So. Helle starts then. I know this is a joke. But the sad thing is that, I paused before laughing... like I could actually see Maurice doing this. Goalie and IC Khari 2

Ducky Posted January 21, 2017 Report Posted January 21, 2017 If he has plans of playing Helle in one of the upcoming games on Mon/Tues, I would rather see Helle on Monday.
Ducky Posted January 21, 2017 Report Posted January 21, 2017 Let's hope Minny takes them to a shootout tonight and softens them up for us.
Goalie Posted January 22, 2017 Report Posted January 22, 2017 5 3 Minny. Of note : John Gibson left the game with an injury so looks like Jets might catch a break here and get Bernier instead
iHeart Posted January 22, 2017 Report Posted January 22, 2017 (edited) doesn't look like Laine will be playing tomorrow Edited January 22, 2017 by iHeart

Ducky Posted January 22, 2017 Report Posted January 22, 2017 We'll probably see him Tuesday or Thursday. Maurice said Copp and Petan will probably both see time on the wing in Staf's place but really, for how long? Laine is back shortly. If Bernier is starting, he has a .899 sv% with a 7-4-1 record.

Hence the 'day-to-day' quote. Very perceptive. Atomic 1
Ducky Posted January 23, 2017 Report Posted January 23, 2017 Just watched Laine's interview and i don't think he will play Tuesday....he says a couple more practices. Floyd, A "mere flesh wound" kept Petan out for how many weeks?

The Unknown Poster Posted January 23, 2017 Report Posted January 23, 2017 Will be interesting to see petan with Scheif and Ehlers.

I wasn't trying to be original, I was quoting Maurice after Petan go hurt. A mere flesh wound turned into weeks so you shouldn't always believe what the Jets' management always say.

A mere flesh wound turned into weeks so you shouldn't always believe what the Jets' management always say. Weird, it seemed like you were implying that Laine was tough and Petan was fragile. But if it was me, I'd hold Laine out as long as possible... Still think this season is a write off and why risk rushing him back. Let him make his return debut at the all-star game.
Ducky Posted January 23, 2017 Report Posted January 23, 2017 Not at all, I don't think either are fragile...If you remember correctly, Maurice was asked after a game how serious Petan's injury was and he answered, "a mere flesh wound". He didn't dress for over two weeks after that game. I think it turned out to be a hip flexor. I have no problems with Laine coming back if he is given the green light.
Floyd Posted January 23, 2017 Report Posted January 23, 2017 Well, let's hope Stafford has a 'mere flesh wound' then. Ducky 1

Goalie Posted January 23, 2017 Report Posted January 23, 2017 Gibson not as hurt as originally reported. Good chance he starts. Ducks own the Jets asses recently
Mark F Posted January 23, 2017 Report Posted January 23, 2017 Other than a Jets win my hope for this game is that the fans do not chant "katey Perry" JCon and FrostyWinnipeg 2
